The alarm Viana set woke me up from a questionable dream. I was dreaming about our future and everything felt so real. She was my wife, we were living in New York, and she was taking care of our kids while I held a music career. Sounds like the good life right? That's what scares me.
Things were too perfect and it made me think about the fights that are to come between us. Me and her are best friends, we fight all the time, but I don't want us to fight in this relationship unless it leads to sex because fighting between us now can end in a break up and a ruined friendship.
Viana is a real one. She's the full package and I don't want to take advantage of that because I also know how fragile her heart is. I'd hate to be the one to break it.
On my way to meet my uncle I sat thinking about all the possibilities to come with our relationship. It excites me.
I didn't let Viana come because I don't want her to hear the song yet and I want to play it for my uncle. I want her to hear the song when it gets played on the radio. She didn't like that too much but when she hears these lyrics I think she'll get over it.
"You make me wanna sing to you, it's the little things you do for me homie, lover, friend. Girl I can spend my life with you, we ain't got a thing to lose, so let's go, and run away. My uncle raised his finger which interrupted my lyrics. That made me nervous. He put his hand up to give me a high five. I hit his hand and smiled.
"I'm proud of you man." He smiled.
"Thanks Unc." That made me feel good.
"So who's the lucky girl?" He hit me.
"You'll see her tomorrow." I bite my lip.
The thought of Viana hearing the song and my uncle knowing we're dating was starting to make me nervous. I don't know how either of them are going to react. Looks like we'll find out tomorrow.
