Chapter Forty-One

My feet barley hit the floor making my mouth bob under water if the waves were a little harsher. My attention was stolen from the advancing kai as something slid next to my foot. Wet....Slimy....there are no fish in the prison world, no need to panic.

WHERE NOT IN THE PRISON WORLD

"Kai! Kai! Help me! There's fish! IT TOUCHED MY FOOT! It's so slimy!" I paused panicking and kicking to frighten any fish around me but the slimy fuckers weren't deterred.

"I THINK IT'S A SHARK!" I felt my body being engulfed making me scream out but it was just kai and i sighed grabbing onto him as he held me up, i tucked my legs around his waist so the fish would have less area of me to touch and hunt kai instead.

"It's okay babe there just fish." I scoffed looking around the water for a fin.

"Just a fish eh? Try Piranha or shark, i felt teeth I'm telling you." He chuckled before stopping abruptly making me grip him tightly and whisper what?

"I just saw a fin." He whispered back and i squealed honestly fearing for my life, this was it this is where i, Azalea Monroe Bennet end, tell my loved ones i- well love them. I want a statue of me made from snicker wrappers in mystic falls and i wish for my tombstone to say- yolo is a fucking lie for i lived twice. Before the jaws of death which i had dubbed the sharks name ended my life.

"Oh never mind it was just sea-weed." Kai chuckled as i loosened my grip.

"I was honestly writing my own little eulogy in my head you asshole!" I screeched as he continued to laugh at my peril.

"Even if there where sharks around us, we could just Motus them away." I chuckled at the image of a shark going flying across the water as i gripped to kai.

"The i forgive you." I mumbled resting my head in the crook of his neck as his tall ass self managed to stand here.

"Can't have you dying before we tell the scooby gang your my girlfriend. I have a bet going with cadence." I snorted at the name as he walked us back up to the beach, more to my depth.

"Really, what's the stakes?" Was all i really cared about, if it was money i want a fee because technically i made it happen.

"Well, if she wins, which she did, your little group gets to come to the wedding, you know the Gemini, always paranoid it would have been a closed off thing but-" At the mention of wedding i had leapt off of kai and head first into the water swimming viciously up to the shore, commitment, Jesus.

Apparently kai's a really fast swimmer because i barely hit the sand before he was pulling my leg back. I could hear his chuckling and it had me scrunching my nose sourly as i just allowed my self to glide through the water begrudgingly towards him.

"Did you really think you'd get far? Your so small." He cooed wrapping his arms tightly around me. I was not small, i was pretty tall if i say so myself.

"I will siphon you." I threatened and he chuckled into my ear making me shiver.

"We both know it will only turn me on." My one fucking act of defence pleases this mother fucker, of course it does. So i did it and he sucked a breath in closing his eyes, continuing my plan i placed gentle kisses up his collar bone positioning my hand on his bare chest. Moving my lips up i smirked against his skin making him catch on that something was up.

"Motus." I whispered as he suddenly plunged through the water sending me into a fit as i ran out of the water.

"Some Gemini leader you are!" I chuckled standing victoriously with my hands on my hips, not even a second later was i tackled into the sand with a thud. The grains stuck to my exposed skin as i wrestled with kai eventually ending up with him hovering over me pinning my hands above my head.

"I like this position." That had me rolling my eyes, of course he does. His eyes were light and a cool blue in the dark, the beach seemed to be empty as the sound of the waves crashed behind him. We were just studying each others faces in this serene moment. He was smiling which had me smiling like a fool as well. 

Having pulled my self out of the daze i was in and realising that my hair was totally covered in sand along with it most likely being in my underwear as well, i decided to make a stand. Wrenching my leg around Kai's waist i used the moment to switch the position having me straddling kai.

"I much prefer this." Now he rolled his eyes, once his playful glare left his face i connected our lips moving in sync with only the sound of the water around us. Pulling a part from the sweet kiss he sat up leaving me on his body whilst wrapping his arms around me.

"Come to Portland with me." He whispered into the crook of my neck, his grip around my torso tightening. I furrowed my eyebrows as i placed my arms around his neck.

"Kai i-"

"Please." He cut me off, the pure softness and pleading in his tone made my heart clench, i knew he would have to go but to go with him? What about my friends, my family? Could i drop everything for one? I had done it before. I could do it again, i would do it for kai. My silence as i thought it over must have alarmed him as his grip never lessened, in fact it became almost desperate to keep me held to him.

I stroked soothing hands through his hair figuring out what to say but kai beat me to it.

"I love you."
