Chapter Thirty-Eight

"Oh my goodness!" I cooed crouching down to her height, she was smiling at me as she looked to her father.

"My names hope." I bit my lip to contain the squeal that would most definitely frighten her off.

"I know, your adorable I'm Azalea." I held my arms out and with a chuckle she accepted my hug making me wiggle excitedly.

"Oh your so beautiful, damn those Mikaelson genes." She grinned up at me as i lifted her up onto my hip.

"Your very pretty to." She responded and i nearly melted.

"Awe, i really want to steal you. Wanna come live with me?" I heard Klaus chuckle as the little girl in my arms giggled examining my features.

"This is your auntie Az, hope." Rebekah came over taking the young girl from me. I retreated latching onto kai's arm as she waved at me.

"Yes, one of the only witches i tolerate." Klaus rolled his eyes in exasperation. 

"Your no picnic either Nikki." I smirked pulling kai to a table. Klaus only hummed in response.

"Damn straight, and who might you be?" A new guy entered the room oozing confidence as he checked me out.

"Azalea Bennet." I placed my hand in his as he kissed the back of it.

"Marcel Gerard, your a witch?" He questioned and i nodded.

"That i am, Marcy." He rose an eyebrow at the sudden name as Rebekah laughed.

"Didn't expect any less from you Bennet." Klaus chuckled and i shrugged.

"We have a couple rules for your kind in the quarter." He continued still pleasant but i only grinned.

"And ill be sure to break everyone if you tell them me." He smirked nodding to Klaus.

"You were right, definitely a catch." That had kai gripping my waist again.

"Been caught actually so down vampy." He smiled with an underlining threat hidden in it. Marcel rose his hands in surrender.

"The pretty ones always are." He responded and i faked a blush. Just when i thought all the introductions where done a gorgeous girl walked in the room with curly brown hair and a button nose.

"Hi! I don't think we have met, I'm Azalea." I pulled her in for a hug immediately and she seemed shocked.

"Hello, my names Davina." I smiled admiring her features and bright smile.

"Gorgeous name for an even prettier girl." I laughed out and she flushed eyeing me.

"Say's you, bennet wasn't it." I nodded in response walking back over to the rest.

"You're practically witch royalty." I scoffed dismissively.

"I'm defective don't fool yourself, don't even have a coven." She nodded understandingly as kai's fingers drew circles comfortingly on my belly under my top.

"Don't i know it, i was kicked out of mine after they sacrificed me." I sighed with a shake of my head.

"Harvest witch? You would think they would under stand how alarming the whole thing is." She nodded in agreement.

"See you get it. Maybe there the defective ones." I chuckled with her liking her immediately.

"I think it's time we get going, we still need to find a hotel." I turned to kai who nodded standing up.

"Don't be absurd you can stay here!" Kol spoke entering the room.

"All you Mikaelsons are so dramatic, how long where you waiting to make your entrance?" He laughed pulling me in for a well needed hug.

"Nonsense i was just passing by, it's good to see you darling." I hummed in agreement before returning to kai's side who was now very tense.

"Hello mate." Kol gestured his way with a smirk.

"Hello Kyle." They narrowed there eyes at each other before Davina pulled Kol away kissing his cheeks to calm him, i smiled at the sight turning to a still glaring kai.

I tugged on his arm to get his attention to drop to me which it did after a moment. I swiftly placed a soft kiss to his lips feeling him relax beside me.

"The toxic masculinity in here is suffocating honestly, how you two ever deal with it I'll never know." Rebekah scoffed and i chuckled finally removing my eyes from kai's.

"Maybe if Klaus let you date you'd have a better understanding." Davina threw shade at Klaus making me muffle a cackle with my hand. 

"Love is a vampires greatest weakness, that's why I'm pining over a certain blonde vampire not so secretly." I did my impression as best as i could causing nikki to scowl at me. I held up my hand in surrender barely breathing through my laughter as Rebekah chuckled with me.

"I see why Kol loved you, he likes pretty little things with sharp tongues." Davina impersonated Kol sending me right down into another fit holding onto Kai for dear life as he laughed as well, just more composed then me.

"Come on darling don't be like that." I wiped a tear from under my eye hitting the mark with my last impression. Eventually me and Davina ended up leaning on one and other for support as we earned glares from the British vampires along the room.

"i love you so much, were new best friends." Davina wheezed out as we collapsed to the floor.

"Definitely... I've got stitch." My pain had us in another howl of laughter making it worse for me as i gripped my side. A bang had me sobered up along with Davina as we spotted our boyfriends at each other's throats. I jumped up ignoring the fading pain as we both reached them prying them off one and other.

"What are you doing? Hey what's going on?" I heard Davina whisper to Kol as Kai chanted under his breath, creating some sort of spell, in a panic seeing his glare on kol i pulled his face to mine whispering softly.

"Hey its okay, i love you." He stopped his chanting and just stared down at me for a very long moment might i add, before wrapping his arms around my torso and resting his head in the crook of my neck. I rubbed his back feeling his breathing soothe and heart slow. I'm sure worry was etched upon my face as i looked over him for any injury thankfully finding none.

"Let's go find a hotel okay? See you later!" I took his hand guiding us out of the compound as everyone waved us off except for a fuming Kol and Davina who gave me an apologetic look.
