Chapter Twenty-Five

The car ride was silent for all of five minutes before Stefan decided it was time for answers, i could play dumb but what's the point?

"Who was that?" He questioned as i sipped on my juice box, innocently.

"Kai." I coolly replied looking to my left to see him with an unimpressed look.

"The sociopath? The dangerous one who shot bonnie? And we left him with that doctor why?" I rolled my eyes putting a placating hand up as he got more tense.

"In defence bonnie got shot after she killed him, and that doctor? Its his twin he's just completing the circle of life for her, which she has managed to dodge for 18 years." He sighed out shaking his head as i spoke nonchalantly.

"We shouldn't have left her there to deal with him." I tutted under my breath, of course saint steffie didn't get it.

"I learnt all about what's gonna happen between them whilst i did my time, the merge is their birth right she's lucky she's still alive now. You cant cheat death forever." I smiled thinking about it actually, after so long he would finally get what he wanted, good for him.

"So you're pretty close with him aren't you? Last i checked he never told my brother or bonnie any thing personal." I nodded ignoring the prying voice of jealousy.

"Me and Kai? Two unfortunate souls forced upon each other in a world for two." I shrugged watching the tree's pass the window as we neared Whitmore wear i would start unpacking my stuff with Caroline.

"No, its more then that. You two have banter, that's more then just associates." Stefan glanced at me before turning back to the road. Should i do it? Yes.

"Well we slept together once." I looked over at him and he didn't let anything show, so i wasn't really sure what to say next.

"Did it mean anything? Do you.." I shuck my head hastily and he sighed in relief making me smirk a little bit before wiping it off my face.

"In the moment it was great, he was there when i needed someone. You know I'm not looking for anything, i also made that very clear to him." Stefan nodded as we pulled up and i placed a hand on his arm stopping him from getting out of the car.

"This stays between us, bonnie hates his guts, Damon will turn me to siphoner ash. Elena? She'll tell everyone so just don't okay?" He nodded and i smiled kissing his cheek as we got out and headed inside. He smiled back at me as we got to my new dorm.

Wrenching the door open i was greeted with my sister and Elena before Caroline came bounding in from behind me with boxes. laughing to myself i entered immediately spotting the bed made up for me in the barren part of the room

"So i bought you red led lights, new bed sheets, and egg swing chair which Stefan's gonna have to grab from the car, i got a mini fridge for your snickers and finally a carpet to match the bedding." I smiled nodding approvingly especially at the lights, great choice.

"You did it again Caroline, well done." She smiled ripping the bedding off and putting the new one on.

"So your party, i was thinking a rave. Flashing lights booze the whole lot. Maybe Friday, that gives me a four days to prepare." I grinned liking the sound of that as bonnie and Elena squealed.

"We'll go shopping tomorrow for the outfits it will be great." Elena suggested and i nodded laying on my freshly made bed.

"But not to revealing and your not drinking a lot." Bonnie scolded and i narrowed my eyes playfully.

"Bonnie darling, I'll drink until i can no longer walk. Prison is hard on the brain." My inner Kol was showing as Caroline stepped forward.

"Can't you just put aside you big sister responsibility for one party?" She crossed her arms, yeah like she has one. Oh no inner Kai now. Along as i don't go all Hawkeye on them its fine.

"Besides my tolerance is way higher then yours Bonster, by time I'm tipsy you'll be heavily under the influence allowing me free roam." She sighed before rolling her eyes and nodding in agreement with a laugh. Hearing everyone laughing around me made me content, its nice hearing different voices.

"Now if you will excuse me i have a phone call to make." I glanced at Caroline winking as i skipped out the room pulling out my phone, my face lit up as i scrolled down to Nikki 😎. Letting it ring it answered on the second tone.

"Who ever is calling me off this phone, you have ten seconds to state your reason before i find you and rip out your heart." I chuckled biting my lip at hearing his voice.

"Well I'm using this phone because its mine, can i keep my heart by any chance?" The line was silent and i heard a shuffle.

"What kind of trick is this?!" I grinned holding back my laugh as much as i could.

"Nikki, its me. No trickery we can face time to prove it, i know your always paranoid." Not a second later he was requesting a face time to which i obliged with my grin.

"It is you your alive." I pouted scratching my chin.

"Well i hope so or this is a freaky dream." He laughed finally smiling on the other side.

"You should come visit, your always welcome here in my city." I smiled through the phone at the mention of his city.

"So you finally reclaimed your throne huh? Nice but i cant threaten your reputation by coming over, everyone will see me as the queen i am." I smirked and he rolled his eyes with a grin.

"Is that Azalea?" Another voice spoke from behind him until an unfamiliar face was in view and clearly shocked.

"freaky, Klaus actually has friends?" I heard a chuckled come from my phone as i looked across the street noticing shadows moving fast, to fast.

"Don't tell me you don't remember me darling." I furrowed my eyebrows looking back to my phone who the fuck- Darling.

"Kol?"
