This was not good, absolutely no Bueno, here i was panicking because yet again my dumbass fell in love ! The culprit for eliciting said emotions being blissfully unaware of my inner battle right next to me. I was so much better off not acknowledging my feelings, due to the fact that now i was super aware of everything he did.

The way his lips turned up into a full blown grin when a song he knew came on. The way he would tap on the steering wheel to the beat as he preformed a personal concert for me. The way he would ask if i was hungry every time we passed a sign that had anything to do remotely with food.

I was acutely aware of the fact when ever i wasn't laughing or smiling and had drifted off into my own personal world of worry in my mind, he would squeeze my hand before cheering me up with a story of how successful his coven was becoming and thriving. All his little stories had me laughing and smiling with full teeth, weather they were about how he took every chance he got to humiliate his father in front of the people he once controlled, or how he demanded control over the Gemini's, claiming his birth right.

In the end my smiles would leave me thinking again, eventually kai would be permanently with his coven in Portland. He would have such a responsibility that his time would be spent there instead of here with me. But what did i expect, everyone leaves in the end. Its natural and at least he wouldn't be dying, it's not like he had any responsibility towards me.

Yes i had grown highly dependant of him in the prison world and allowed some of that to travel to the real world with me, but what would i do when i needed him? I couldn't expect him to drop his duty to allow me to cry on his shoulder or be with me when i felt alone.

Was that why he was so adamant on getting the group to acknowledge how much i really needed someone?  So that when he left me he knew i wouldn't be alone? It's all so complicated, maybe he just felt a need to make sure i was okay becuase of how pathetic i was, because even after the tough act and harsh displays of violence i was weak, unable to care for myself, so reliant and needy and not worth-

"Are you okay? You keep zoning out and glaring at the dash board." Kai broke me from the dark route my mind was taking and i nodded.

"All good." I responded and he huffed a doubtful laugh.

"Your lying again." He sung making a small smile hit my face as i rolled my eyes.

"You're so annoying." I grumbled crossing my arms over my chest with with a small grin.

"Don't fool yourself you love me." I do, i shuck my head anyway with a laugh as he continued.

"I think i saw a sign back there about MacDonald's, and i know your gonna say you not hungry but where going anyway." He finalized and i smiled nodding at him.

"I bet you twenty bucks the ice cream machine isn't working." I bit my lip as he contemplated.

"Fine but if it is, you have to be my girlfriend." My eyes widened for a second, but those things never worked right?

"No magic, you cant just make one appear and cheat." I offered my hand for him to shake and he took it with a grin. After five minutes of debating the logistics of it working we pulled up to MacDonald's and kai hopped out.

"I'll grab you something, make it a surprise." Kai smirked as he lent in through his door.

"Just make sure there's no-"

"Gherkins, I got it, or mayo and you want ice in whatever drink i get you." I nodded with a smile as he shut the door and strode in through the doors. Pulling out my phone swiftly i texted my sister, My brains making me do that stupid love thing again. Not even a moment later she responded, honey i already know

Swiftly i changed bons name from BONSTER👁👄👁 to USELESS👀 in my phone.

Kai

I walked in glancing back at the car to see Azzy on her phone rolling her eyes, turning to find the place kinda empty i headed straight for the desk.

"Hey there buddy what can i do for you?" This guy was surprisingly chipper even though it was late at night, i looked to his name tag to see Ted. How original. I listed off what i thought would fill us the most putting in Az's preferences before turning deadly serious to this guy.

"Right i got a lot riding on this next bit. Is your ice cream machine working?" I asked and he shuck his head sadly.

"What's riding on it?" He questioned and i sighed running a hand down my face.

"You see that hot chick in the Range Rover?" I pointed to her and he peered out with a nod.

"We have a bet on, if it doesn't work she gets twenty bucks if it does, she becomes my girlfriend." Ted thought for a moment before nodding his head.

"I'll see what i can do for you." I smiled leaning on the desk as he sauntered off to prepare my order.

Five minutes later he came back with my bags then went of to retrieve an ice cream. He was grinning victoriously as he offered it to me, it was safe to say he had worked a miracle.

"How did you pull it off?" I asked inspecting the ice cream.

"I made it by hand in the freezer Good luck man, and enjoy your meal." He smiled and i smiled back rushing out to the car and smirking victoriously. I knocked on Azzy's window which made her jump because she was rifling through the glove box. She rolled her window down and took the bags placing them in the back seat so we had room. When she thought i was done i revealed the now slightly melted ice cream and watched as her face contorted swiftly.
