Chapter Twenty-Eight

Today was meant to be the day, raving and abnormal alcohol consumption. But waking up i wasn't greeted with the frantic rushing around of Caroline, i was welcomed with teary eyes and sobs. I rubbed my eyes sitting up and her attention snapped to me as she pulled me into a hug.

"She's.. she's gone. My .. M...mom's-" I shushed her pulling her shaking frame tight against me as i lifted my covers allowing her in. I sat there for a while not believing, not wanting to believe it. Sheriff Liza, my mother figure, my best friends actual mom. After a while i pulled a part and wiped her eyes.

"Why don't you turn it off?" I knew in her situation i would, i didn't like seeing her like this. 

"I want to so.. so bad." She whimpered looking into my eyes as we laid down. I felt my eyes watering and tears slipping from my face.

"I'll be there with you, you can do it if you want to." I stuck out my pinkie and she wrapped hers around it before bringing her thumb up and wiping my eyes.

"Don't cry.... when you stop... Ill stop." I nodded blinking away the last of my sadness, i wanted to be strong for Caroline, for her to be strong i needed to pretend.

"I'll turn it back on as soon as you ask me to okay?" She said and i wrapped my arms around her.

"Yeah, just try not to be a bitch to me when there gone." She chuckled through a sob as she sat up bringing me with her. Caroline closed her eyes and when she opened them i saw nothing, the tears retreated and sadness ebbed away.

"Better?" I questioned and she nodded.

"Better. Now about that party we should get ready you already slept in till one." I smiled as she stood with a smile stretching.

"Who cares?" I taunted and she rolled her eyes with a grin.

"Oh you should, i invited kai. Total hottie i understand why you slept with him." I was shocked for a moment before throwing a pillow at her head.

"Caroline! How did you even find him?!" She chuckled at my annoyance making me smirk.

"I just stumbled across him really, but if he looks like that, you have to look presentable especially if you want him choosing you." I sighed with a groan.

"i don't want him choosing me, its a one way relationship i told you that." She grinned turning on her heel to look at me with hands on her hips.

"Oh did i forget to mention he won his merge? Gained emotions and totally has a crush on you?" She smirked and i rolled my eyes.

"Must have slipped your mind." We laughed together before she pulled me out of bed and into the bathroom where out party outfits where placed.

Walking into the club was a real confidence boost, eyes were on us the moment we stepped a foot in. Caroline wore short shorts with neon paint splashed on with a cute crop top. Where as i wore a black skirt that didn't even reach anywhere near my knee matched with a neon bra and suspenders. My hair was in two space buns with light up hair clips. 

Caroline smiled waving at some boys as we passed them making me wink flirtatiously to match her. We started with shots because you could never get drunk fast enough.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked and she rolled her eyes.

"Plotting to turn my emotions back on most likely." I laughed downing another shot with her.

"Threaten my life, ill play the part." I shrugged and she giggled ordering more drinks.

"What if we sell it to well? I don't want Stefan and bonnie after me, not to mention the Gemini coven leader." I pondered it for a moment.

"We don't have to fight, ill play hopeless drunk, you feed me your blood get ready to snap my neck they'll back down." She nodded with a sigh before passing me a drink and necking hers.

"Let's dance." I smiled mischievously as she pulled me to the dance floor grabbing the attention of some men who followed us. We began dancing with them moving to the beat of the songs as the lights flashed, all of them to drunk to care about anything. Hands were roaming and emotions were high, i was having fun swaying with the group of bodies occasionally running my hands down a partner.

"look who just entered." Caroline whispered into my ear making my eyes flutter to the entrance, the scooby gang stood scanning the crowd for us until there eyes landed on Caroline and me.

"I'm gonna dance on you, get ready to bite me see if they back down." She nodded as i twirled on her facing her front and running my hands down her torso, her hands roamed to my waist as her head dipped into the crook of my neck as i felt her fangs skim over my skin and head tilt. After a moment she pulled away and started dancing with me.

"They bought it, unfortunately so did kai." My eyes widened for a second, i hadn't seen him there.

"Do you think he'll be more mad about me trying to bite you or how close i am to you?" She dipped herself down laughing as she trailed her hand over her head down my exposed stomach. I smirked with a chuckle spinning her around when she stood back up. 

"Oh I'm not sure but you could be closer." I whispered with a giggle as she chuckled dancing alongside me as men surrounded us blocking our view.

"Lets just enjoy our night Care." I swayed feeling the alcohol start its buzz.

"Just you and me Leah" She responded and i hummed as she passed me a drink i took it drinking a fair amount feeling the burn in my throat.

"We should do karaoke." Caroline suggested and i laughed turning back to back with her. 

"I'm not drunk enough for that." I needed a lot more drinks to even think about going near a microphone. Something tells me I'll get those drinks.
