Chapter Thirty-Four

I was in the bed all tucked up as kai argued with Klaus over the phone all the while bonnie was giving me a very fed up look.

"Listen mate, i don't take well to being told what to do especially by lesser men." Kai scoffed giving me a really look gesturing to the phone before continuing. 

"No you listen, it's not rent a siphoner alright? She's ill either you wait or you don't get anything." He narrowed his eyes through the phone as i stood using my strength to snatch the phone off, his gaze snapping to me then filling with worry as he pouted.

"I'm on my way Nicki, just give me a day or so." Kai was shaking his head protesting to no end as bonnie snickered. 

"Who even is that love?" Klaus asked and i smiled making it so the camera was on both me and kai.

"His names kai, we went to prison together...Achoo... Now he's like my super nanny." Kai scoffed at the ending as Klaus raised his eyebrows.

"I wouldn't bring him with you love, kol may gotten over the whole situation but if he see's you with another man? That's a whole different story and you know it." Kai glared at the phone heatedly taking it off me again.

"Kol? I though he you know.. crkkk." He mimicked the nose of death making Klaus roll his eyes.

"Yes well some people don't stay dead. Us mikaelsons are very possessive and merciless I've been told so it's best for your safety if you stay put." He smirked on the phone making Kai scowl as he held it out of my reach.

"To bad, cant posses what's not yours right? I'd say your describing a spoilt child. Last time i saw one of those well- didn't end pretty." He seethed into the phone as Klaus darkened.

"Are you threatening my family?" Klaus replied and i groaned in annoyance as kai was to tall.

"If your family makes a move on my girl i can't say i wont retaliate." That made me halt in my tracks which went unnoticed by kai as he continued to argue with Klaus, i looked to bonnie who was wiggling her eyebrows making me jump on her to stop it.

"Azalea is practically family, you need not worry about her well being." I heard Elijah on the phone making me smile wildly.

"Uh another one? Seriously. I'm not worried about her safety, I'm worried about your little brother making moves on someone he lost." kai continued to argue and i heard Elijah chuckle.

"Who's that?" This voice made me panic as i looked to bonnie mouthing 'kol' her eyes widened as we watched kai.

"My names kai, who are you?" He questioned as Kol's new face came onto the screen.

"Kol Mikaelson." Kai shuck his head with a wave of the hand for extra affect.

"I've seen Kol, your not him." He refused to believe making me hold back a laugh.

"In the wrong flesh but it's me none the less. Why are you on Azalea's phone." Kol then questioned lowly looking to Klaus who smirked.

"I'm defending my title." Kai smirked winking at me to which i tilted my head confused.

"And what's that?" Kol questioned as i dashed for the phone seeing where this was going at Kai's grin.

"The boyfriend-" He went to continue but he was already on the floor as we fought for the phone.

"I will sneeze in your face if you carry that on!" I exclaimed faking a new sneeze brewing but he over powered me pinning me on the bed next to bonnie who was just laughing at me as i struggled.

"Does she know that mate?" Klaus asked and i went to speak however bonnie placed her hand on my mouth making me look to her with a - what the fuck?! - look.

"It's complicated right now, i just got emotions we haven't had the talk but as far as I'm aware, kissing, sharing feelings, sex and a couple dates yeah were dating." Bonnie smirked at me whispering in my ear, care already told us all. I huffed in annoyance shaking my still immobile head.

"I'm no threat to your unsecure place, i never expected her to wait in case i ever resurrected. But know this, if you ever hurt her you'll have this family to deal with." Kol threatened and i smiled against Bonnies hand as i heard his brothers laugh in the back agreeing. Breaking free with my saved up energy i hopped into the camera's view.

"great the ex and whatever kai is met, now we'll be there soon...achoo... See ya!" I hung up throwing the phone away and flicking kai's ear.

"That was hectic." Bonnie huffed a laugh as i nodded.

"Wait till he meets Rebekah." I rose my eyebrows and she nodded with a look as if to say - oh yeah he's fucked -

"To be honest she might try to hit on him." She wiggled her eyebrows at kai who grimaced with a shake of the head.

"Now get back in the bed and eat the soup, New Orleans can wait." Kai demanded with a finger pointing to the bed, i rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest but bonnie was already tugging me under the sheets. Once he was happy with everything he smiled and headed out.

"Let's go whilst he's occupied." I turned to my sister whilst i whispered making it so kai was blissfully un aware. She nodded pulling the covers off of us and peaking around the door  gesturing to me that the coast was clear. Hopping out of the bed quietly i sped out of the apartment with bonnie doing a little victory dance as we reached outside and into her car.

First stop, home to grab my clothes, second stop, boarding house to beat the life out of Care for spilling my shit and to announce my sudden departure to New Orleans.
