Chapter Twenty-Three

My eyes fluttered open to the sound of humming and i shivered, i was freezing. Looking up i noticed Kai pulling a back pack on before noticing me.

"Oh good your awake, time to go." I narrowed my eyes confused before looking around my surroundings, we were in the cave back in mystic fall's. Standing up shakily kai offered me his hand and i took it pulling me up the rest of the way.

"I'm going to need some of your blood." Kinky, i held out my hand and he sliced my palm with the knife from earlier then tilted my hand onto the ascendant. The blood dripped onto it as i blinked my self awake. He pulled me closer wrapping some cloth around my hand from his bag before grabbing my waist and situating us into the centre of the cave.

"Phesmotos treebium nasax veras sangunim sequentim onix. Phesmotos treebium nasax veras sangunim sequentim onix." The ascendant clicked and i found myself unable to breath in anticipation, gripping kai's arm that was firm around my waste. The eclipse rose above us so i closed my eyes letting out a harsh breath before light flooded my sight.

I refused to open them for a solid minute in case i found nothing had changed and that would crush me, then he laughed. I opened my eyes and nearly cried with happiness. Against my own accord i ran and jumped on kai laughing and placing kisses all over his face. I was ecstatic chuckling heartily  unable to contain my happiness. 

"I guess this is goodbye." I gave him sad smile and saluted, he smiled back rolling his eyes playfully.

"This wont be the last time you see me babe." I chuckled kissing his cheek one last time before turning on my heel and bolting through the woods hearing his faint laughter behind me. I teared up as i pushed my self to the limit coming out of the woods and onto the sidewalk before bolting down that as well. The boarding house coming into view after twenty minutes of exercise.

Catching my breath as i hesitated at the door i though of something totally awesome to say. I heard shuffling inside finally regaining composure before knocking on the door. It opened a moment later to saint steffie and i smiled placing a hand on my hip.

"Pizza delivery for a Mr Salvatore?" tears sprung to his eyes as i was literally ripped into the house, the life inside my poor body being squeezed out.

"Azalea, I've missed you so much." Stefan croaked as his fresh tears landed on my shirt.

"Gremlin?" Dam Dam came from the kitchen with drink in hand before rushing over and engulfing me as well.

"Salvatore sandwich god i missed this." We were a mess of tears and laughter before we eventually placed our selves in the living room. I was sat swishing a well deserved glass of bourbon around in a glass as the front door slammed open.

"Azalea!" It was Caroline and Bonnie with Elena trailing behind, i stood up in all my glory smirking.

"Miss me?" I didn't get an answer as i was vamp sped into a bear hug and being picked up and twirled. I had missed care so much.

The door opened again to a hesitant Matty blue eyes and Alaric who rushed in once they saw me in the middle of the huddle.

"How did you? I can believe this... You got out, i tried everything.." Bonnie muttered and it made me smile to know she tried to get me or at least thought of me.

"I'm just mega awesome, had to prove it." I snickered as she laughed with tear stained cheeks.

"We went to the Gemini coven for you and everything they said there was no way." Stefan smiled down at me looking astonished.

"Ew the Gemini gross." I said almost out of reflex to hair a scoff from behind me.

"What did they ever do to you?" It was Olivia, Eugh god who invited her.

"Oh you know, stopped a magical spell endangering my friends lives, tortured someone very close to me, lied to my friends. Neglected children." I went to list more but the person next to her caught my eye, well one of them did.

"Tyler!" he smiled brightly pulling me into a hug and Olivia glared making me roll my eyes.

"Its great to see you... i thought you were gone." He confessed and i rubbed his arms reassuringly, he was my best friend after all for a time and my boyfriend for a while.

"I've lived through worst this is mystic falls after all." He laughed with a nod as i turned rubbing my hands together.

"God you don't know how great it is to see different faces. Even yours Elena." Stefan covered a laugh as she rolled her eyes playfully at me making me smirk.

"So when's the welcome back party?" I asked making Caroline shoot up.

"I'm on it." She headed out straight away making me chuckle until i heard the door click shut.

"Okay what's she hiding?" Bonnie let out a sigh stepping forward and placing her hands on my shoulders.

"Liz is well..."

"Dying. Cancer" Damon cut her off bitterly not liking it at all and i felt my heart clench.

"Sheriff Liza?" I frowned and Elena nodded stepping forward. 

"We tried to give her vampire blood to heal her but it made it worse and sped it up." She told me and i felt my stomach drop. Vampire blood is magic though right?

"If only you could nullify the effects of the vampire bloods magic... Oh wait I can." Bonnie's eyes widened as she though it over and Damon sped to me with hope in his eyes.

"You think that would work?" He questioned and i shrugged.

"It will put things back to normal, no supernatural intervention. She will go back to before you messed with it." he nodded looking to Stefan who nodded.

"I'll call Caroline." I sat back on the couch tapping the side before someone ruined my peace.

"How did you get out?" Bonnie asked me sitting across from me and i sighed ready to retail my prison story.
