the classroom was quiet, everyone was busy making their own potions, but you, you were just watching Hermione do the work for the both of you.

you were no where near good at potions, and it really wasn't okay for Hermione to do all the work (she also helps with your homework), but you told her that if she helped you with potions, you'll help her out in Divination, which was her worst- or well not worst, she just hates that subject.

she agreed, though everytime you help her, she'll tell you that you're doing it wrong, and in the end, she does it herself, helping you out with yours sometimes, too.

both you and Hermione go way back, you met in the train, then met both Harry and Ron later on. at first, the boys wasn't very fond of you because you were a Slytherin, but they came around when Hermione almost got killed by the troll in the restroom.

so, to say that you were close with the trio was an understatement, you have went with them through out all their adventures, the Philosopher's stone from first year? you were there. Chamber of secrets? you got petrified along with Hermione, but managed to find out where the Basilisk was going through; the pipes. the mass murderer who is actually an innocent? (though you had to admit Sirius Black was a bit dramatic.), you traveled back in time, who knew?

then this year, it was the triwizard tournament, you helped Harry figure out how to breathe underwater- with Neville's help- but still.

it's now May second, and by the end of the school year, you need to choose your subjects for your OWLs and NEWTs, which you really didn't want to think about, so you don't, it's not until next month anyways. you're more of the 'Last Minute Study" kind of bloke, and Mione would always nag you about it, but you know she just means well.

"You should start studying, and I mean real studying, not the 'I am studying, but my brain is somewhere else' kind of studying," Hermione said suddenly as she mixed the cauldron slowly. you sighed, and thought; here we go again, "Finals are next month, and you need to get atleast an A, because if not you may need to repeat your year,"

you playfully pouted, "You know i hate studying," you said, fake whining, ignoring the glares Snape gave your way, "Besides, what's the point of graduating if we're all gonna die, anyways?"

Hermione frowned, "Well maybe you find something worth living for, and realize that you needed to work to live, and in order to do so, you need to pass atleast your OWLs," she said, making you frown

"Hey, if you didn't pass your OWLs, if you work hard, you'll be succesful,"

the bushy haired girl looked at you with a bored expression, "And are you a hard worker?" she asked, you opened your mouth to answer, but nothing came out, she had a point, "Exactly, which is why you should start working hard, so if ever you don't pass your exams, you can get somewhere,"

you pouted, and looked away from her, "Rude," you mumbled, and leaned your elbows on the table, putting your face on your palm.

it wasn't long until Snape dismissed everyone- well everyone except you. you walked towards his table, your footsteps getting heavier each time you take a step. finally, you reach his desk, he wasn't looking very happy- but then again, when did he ever look happy?
