During pirate era, the price of textile and personal vehicle are higher than the average house price. With reasonable price, most people can afford a piece of land, and above it, they can build a regular log cabin or cottage.
But to find a complete house in just one day is quite challenging.
It was the day they fought with Doflamingo that Corazon pleaded the chief of his detainment mission - Vice Admiral Momonga to spare him only one day to put Law and Marin in safe place before going back to Navy HQ.
"Change to your uniform, Officer, we'll going straight to Marineford."
"About that, Sir, I have something to request.." Corazon brings himself to speak with a higher up Navy officer. "I asked for few days.. no.. just one day.. one day is enough.. to put my family in a safe place."

"..Alright. I understand. I will permit that, you have one day." Momonga finally assented after reconsidering Corazon situation. He wasn't unreasonable type of Navy to begin with.
"I know this put you in difficult position. However, I thank you for coming with my selfishness. I really appreciate your understanding." Corazon salutes him. With his usual stern face, Momonga leaves Corazon to have his remaining time with his family while they are sailing towards Drum Island.
After 5 days on high speed, the warship reaches Drum Island. Momonga and the rest of the soldiers wait on the island territorial waters like they promised, leaving only Corazon and his family set off into the island's kingdom.
"I take you at your word, Officer. Come back to the ship by the end of the day."
"Yes, Sir!"
Law and Marin followed Corazon going around the Robelle town of the island to ask people who knows any vacant house available for sale. Fortunately, there is one available at the outskirt of the town. Abandoned by the previous owner, it is quite a deserted house but they cannot be picky right now, so they gladly took it.
After that, Corazon and Law left Marin at their new house and went to Bighorn - the Drum Kingdom capital town, to enroll Law into their medical school.

"I thought Marin-san is divorcing Cora-san.. for leaving us.." Law casually talk with Corazon on their way to the school. It is a bright day with light snowing like it usually did on that island around that time.
"Wha- don't speak something ill! Do you really like to see me to be divorced and live in despair all my life?!"
