10. The Green Water Sea

Corazon wakes up early feeling light hearted, the cold breezes of Rubeck biting his bare face but he couldn't care less. His cowlicks hair and his unbuttoned shirt clearly shows he had a good night sleep last night. The campfire was already gone out, the child besides him is still sleeping at his place with his blanket thrown far to the side. Before Corazon could re-organize his thought, his nose already caught a nice food scent that triggers acid in his stomach. Marin already woke up and cooking..? It's not even sunrise yet!

Curious, Corazon went out to take a look by a mere impulse, but he didn't have anything in particular to talk about with her!

"Good morning, Senchou-san. Did the cold woke you up?🌼" Lucky, Marin greeted him first as soon as she saw Corazon walking out from the cave. "Oh yes, here is Senchou-san's jacket, thank you very much. I already cleaned it after using."

Corazon meekly took the feathered jacket and capes around his back, there is a hint of antiseptic smell coming from the jacket, probably disinfectant scent.

"I am only starting to stew it, it will be done in another half an hour. I hope Senchou-san does not mind waiting." Marin suddenly mentioned about the stew she is cooking, as if knowing what had brought Corazon out here right now.

Corazon took the hint and went back to the cave but then he noticed that there were a bucket of warm water near the entrance, he turns to look at Marin again to confirm his assumption.

"It is hot water for Senchou-san and Law-kun to clean up.🌼" She sounds homely again, very pleasant things to hear first this morning.

Drawn to her pace, Corazon brought it into the cave and used it to clean his wounds and re-dress the bandages. He did notice how in just one day his daily routines had changed, Marin's pace had affected the whole ambience. It feels different whenever she was around. But it wasn't a bad changes and it's not like he was displeased with it either. So this is how it feels having a companion. Of course, having Law as companion in the first place had changed something too.

Looking at the kid sleeping so soundly, Corazon thought perhaps he should wake Law up too. But for what purpose? Corazon does not know, he just feels that Law needs to wake up and read the air right now. The new day, with new crew, doing new routines..
