I told Harry about the Bubble-Head charm, but he said we couldn't both do the same thing. Hermione said that we could be disqualified, since it was technically considered cheating if any of the judges found out that I had told Harry about the charm.

So we decided that he would keep searching for another way to breathe underwater, but if he couldn't find one at all, he'd just use the Bubble-Head charm as a last resort.

That night, Harry and I both went down to the Owlery to send Sirius a letter. I wasn't really sure what Harry wrote, since I didn't read his letter, but I knew that it included what happened with Crouch and Snape and Moody, so I decided not to write about it in detail.

Dear Sirius,
You told Harry and I to tell you if anything out of the ordinary happens, so here you go.
I'm sure that Harry already wrote about what happened with Crouch and Snape and Moody, so I won't repeat the same thing over again (read Harry's letter first if you're confused.)
We figured out that for the second task, we have to recover something from the bottom of the Black Lake. We have an hour to do it, and Ava told me about the Bubble-Head charm, so I'm using that. Apparently Harry and I can't do the same thing or it would be suspicious, so we're still trying to find something else for him to do.
Harry also made me fall down the stairs. It hurt. I'm a bit concussed. Owwie.
The main thing I wanted to tell you about was a conversation I may or may not have overheard in the Three Broomsticks.
I was with my boyfriend Fred, and I saw Angela and this lady with pink hair sitting at the bar. The reason I decided to go listen to their conversation is because I'm suspicious of Angela. She seemed great and all at first, but at the Quidditch World Cup, I saw her talking with Lucius Malfoy. It was an actual conversation, I saw it on my Omnioculars.
He did this weird thing where he grabbed one of her arms and yanked up her sleeve, but she pulled away from him, and then she left.
So I did what any nosy person would do, and snuck behind the bar to listen in on Angela's conversation. She was saying something about something getting darker by the day, and she sounded really upset. She said that she wasn't scared for herself, but that she was scared for all of the kids. Ava, Olivia, Harry, me, everyone. She said that "he" would target Harry and I.
This leads me to think she's talking about Voldemort, because who else would be after Harry and I? She said she couldn't bring herself to go back to him, because of what Regulas died for.
I don't know how well you know Angela, but I just don't know if any of us should trust her. And if she's not who she says she is, Ava and Olivia are both living with her, and that worries me.
I miss you, like always. Hopefully we can see each other again soon.
-Lily

P.S- I think I made my boyfriend mad at me by accident. It's making me sad : ( I'm gonna go see him. Okay, bye for real.

Harry and I both sent our letters, and then headed back to the common room.

**********

Over the next few weeks, I spent most of my time practicing the Bubble-Head charm with Ava, and searching for a different way for Harry to breathe underwater for an hour.

I had mastered the Bubble-Head charm already; that wasn't what I was worried about. I was worried about the fact that even though Harry, Ron, Hermione and I had searched nearly the entire library and the restricted section, we still hadn't found anything for Harry to use to breathe underwater.

After Fred and I's weird moment a while ago, we both sort of just pretended like it didn't happen. Plus, I was spending almost all of my time trying to help Harry find something that would allow him to breathe underwater for an hour, so I didn't really see him very much anyways.

Two days before the first task, Sirius finally sent back a single reply to Harry and I.

Send date of next Hogsmeade weekend by return owl.
