"First love? How come?"
Our parents did not want the public to know that it was just for their position ang the businesses they are trying to maintain.
I sighed heavily before opening about it. It was the first time I would tell it again to other people. But it was Marcus. He needs to know everything about me.
"It was a fixed marriage. Daddy needed to do that for the Falcos to help him in getting his position lalo na at baguhan palang siya noon. Dapat si Ate Raya, but she had a boyfriend. So she left. It was a relief that It was in a lighter mood while I was telling him everything.
"We were married right after my college graduation. We lived in the same house but we never slept together. She had girlfriends while we were married so when the news blew up na binubugbog niya ang isang babae, he became so depressed and he would hit me. I'm sure you know about that. Ikaw ang doctor ko noon, e." Sabi ko.
He was listening at nabibigla sa mga naririnig niya sa akin. Hindi niya siguro inakalang ganoon ang nangyari. Ganoon kalala.
"Hindi mo siya minahal? Kahit konti? It was 9..."
"Yes, 9 years." Sabi ko.
"Hindi ka man lang ba nadevelop? Ganun?"
I cringed upon hearing that. "No. And I'm glad I did not. Nakita mo naman kung gaano siya kagago."
He smiled but it was a sad one. Umakbay siya sa akin. "Come on, huwag kang malungkot! I am happy now. Thank you." Sabi ko kaya ngumiti siya ulit.
"I never heard about your wedding. Civil ba?"
"Yes. Daddy lang niya ang nagkasal sa amin." Sabi ko. "I don't actually consider it a wedding."
"I never used it. Kapag kailangan lang."
"Kapag 'Garcia', gagamitin mo?" He was hopeful.
"Depende.
"Hoy! Oo naman 'no! Kailangan ko lang makilala muna parents mo." Sabi niya na para bang desidido talaga.
"Sabi mo, e." Sagot ko.
We skipped lunch because we were still full so when afternoon came, noong malilim na, lumabas kami para magswimming at tumambay sa may beach.
"Oh my gosh!
