I'm sitting on my bed, sobbing into Kal's jacket.

He sits down next to me, putting an arm around my shoulders.
"Hey, what's going on?"

I turn and sob into his chest, wrapping my arms around him.

"I k-killed him, Fin." I sob.

"Auri, you didn't." He says, petting my hair.
"He died protecting you."

"No! H-he d-d-died because of m-m-m-me."

"Auri, his f-father killed him. He tore his mind apart. If I had just been quicker t-then he's still be a-a-a—"

"It wasn't your fault." He insists.

"BUT I ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN!" I scream.
"I allowed it to happen..."

"I stood back and let it happen. I watched him fall to the floor."
"I saw him bleeding from his ears as his mind was shredded."

"I'm sorry, Auri." He whispers ,"I am."
