I can hear a faint guitar riff coming from Auroras room, which is strange considering the fact that she can't play music.

I think I hear...singing?

It's beautiful.

I edge towards it, down the corridor to my be'shmais room, where I'm greeted by Tyler and Finian leaning on the doorway, watching whatever is happening.

Fin smiles, and raises a finger to his lips in a shushing motion.

I peek inside the white-lit room, and my breath is taken away.

Aurora and Scarlett stand at a makeshift microphone, Zero is on an electric guitar and Zila is in the corner, making synthetic music.

Aurora doesn't see me.

"Being in this space has made me feel a bit more small and I'm not quite sure where I'm going next," Aurora sings, with a gorgeous smile on her face.

"I try to use a map but the directions tend to be bad so I'll use GPS and pray for the best," Scarlett sings, and both Fin and Tyler's face light up in utter adoration.

"I've got so many years to flesh this out and be what I wanna be, but it's confusing to say the least,"

"No perception of time or space or distance and weight and I think I'm going insane."

"Doomed to graduate and remain a beast."

"And oh, I just want you to kno-oh."

The two exchange a grin, and turn back to the microphone.

"I FEEL SO BRAINDEAD NEXT TO YOU, ITS NOT LIKE YOU INTENDED TO HURT ME OR MAKE ME FEEL THAT WAY—"

"AND IM NOT TRYING TO COMPLAIN, BUT IT JUST SUCKS TO TRY AND EXPLAIN, WHY I FEEL LIKE THIS EVERYDAY!"

Auri beams at me, finally noticing that I'm watching her.

Void, her smile outshines every star.

"Sleeping through your days and skipping meals must sound so unappealing, but I guess it's different when it's the norm."
"Sinking deeper into whatever this without a hint of reflection,"

I catch Fins eye as Scar pauses to let Aurora sing, and he smiles up at me.

"Can't tell if this is the calm or if this is the storm. Giving everything I've got equates to about a shower and waking up late."

"Faced with anything I tend to flee."

Scarlett sings this with a hint of sadness, or regret.

"So when I'm thrown into the adult world."

"Where they do things that we never learned how to do."

"Guess I'll live in a swamp or a tr—" Auri can't finish her line though, she's too busy doubling over and laughing.
"I— sorry, go to the -giggle- without -giggle- me."

Aurora half walks/half runs out of the room, stifling giggles, catching my eye briefly.

I follow her without hesitation -I'm really only watching for her.

She turns around in the hallway, meeting my eye and collapsing into my arms in a peal of giggles.

"I- oh my god you kept on staring at me and it was the funniest thing!" She cries.

"Sorry? I can't help it that your beautiful."

...I feel so brain dead next to you...

"Well damn, mister Gilwraeth, you are smooth." She murmurs, pulling me down for a kiss.

I break apart from her after a long while.
"Now, Miss O'Malley, shall we go back to the music?"

"We shall."
