The first time Tyler Jones truly felt alive was during the heist on Sempiternity. Before that, he just did what he was told to. His life was a colourless existence of just following orders and working towards a goal that was set out before him.

But throwing his uniglass at the ultrasaur on a quest that they had no clue about and with the girl he loved, he felt really fucking good.

It was like what Aurora described her power as, a humming, an adrenaline rush. It made him feel dizzy, powerful.

Unstoppable.

After that moment, the power rush never really stopped. Fighting the TDF, the ra'haam was nothing.

but as he looked into the blue eyes of Cat, matching tears streaming down dirtied faces, he knew he never should have felt that high.
