"Hey Aura!" Aurelia turned around from her guard post and saw Harper moving towards her. "It's my turn to take over your post."

"Thanks H." She responded with a smile, passing her rifle to the other girl. "Have fun!" She walked back into the camp, but increased her pace when she heard a series of urgent shouts and took notice of the smell of smoke.

"Fire! Everybody get away!"

"Go go go!"

Aura parted her mouth in shock, seeing that the meat house was going up in flames, the nauseating smell of burnt meat and wood filling the air in more concentrated waves the closer she got. Her eyes fell on a familiar dark haired girl and she rushed forward. "Oh my god Tavia." She wrapped the girl's arm around her shoulder and pulled her out, the wisps of toxic smoke making its way into their lungs and making it hard to breath.

Octavia collapsed on the floor once she was at a safe distance, taking quick shallow breaths to take in as much oxygen as she can. "Here." Aura passed her a flask full of water as the younger girl nodded at her in thanks.

Murphy stood up, a murderous glare on his features. "This is all your fault." He accused, staring directly at Del. "We told you it was too much wood." He roared, lunging at the taller boy.

"Get away from me." Del fought back, but Murphy swung his arm, fist connecting with Del's jaw. The two took turns bashing each other, occasionally punching but often resorting to scratching at each other's faces. Neither of them showed signs of stopping, despite Bellamy yelling at them and trying to pull them off eachother. Aurelia grabbed a rifle from one of the guards, smacking the butt of it into both of their knees sending them to the floor in pain.

"Boys! Behave." She ordered, and neither of them made any attempt to fight back, muttering curse words under their breath as they clutched their knees. "Save it for the grounders."

"What the hell are we gonna do?" Octavia questioned, as everyone watched the charred wooden hut start to collapse. "That was all the food!"

Unfortunately no one had the answers. They were screwed.

"Monty, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but," Aura gestured towards the circuit board. "Nothing's happening."

"Don't wreck my mojo Aura." He responded, fiddling around with the wires and creating strange warbling noises. She sighed and rested her head in her hands.

They both heard the tent rustling and looked up to find Raven walking in. "I found some good antenna wire for the radios. This guy was using it to fix his bed." She started rummaging through some of the junk on the table. "You find anything from the exodus ship wreckage?"

"Yeah. Data log. Want to hear something weird?"

Aura sighed. "Here we go again." He held the two wires together, playing the warbling noise again.

"Sounds like interference." Raven shrugged.

"Wait, it gets weirder. When the system hit, their Nav system went nuts. They never got it back. And then boom. It's like something was jamming the signal."

Raven nodded. "That is weird." She said bluntly. "It also makes no sense whatsoever. No. Pull the drive in speakers."

Monty looked at her confused. "You want to strip it? We'll never find out why they crashed."

"We need every component we can get our hands on if we're gonna make walkies.." She trailed off. "And I need the radio."

Monty stood up abruptly, surprising Aurelia who flinched. "No. No way. How are we supposed to contact the Ark?"

"The ark isn't there. You're listening to a hole in the sky." Raven reached towards the radio but Monty stopped her.

"Hey, my family is up there." Aura stood up quietly, sympathising for the boy.

"I'm sorry Monty." The mechanic pulled the wires out, disconnecting the radio and walking away. Monty stared after her, sadness in his eyes. Aura walked over to him softly, pulling the boy in for a hug who returned it by wrapping his arms around her and laying his head against her shoulder.

They both sat in the tent for a while, Monty doing most of the work, whilst Aura kept him company.

"I'm gonna see if anyone needs my help." She said softly, flashing Monty a small smile.

He returned the smile. "Thank you for keeping me company, it means a lot to me."

"Anytime buddy." She quickly hugged him then left the tent.

As she walked across camp, Aurelia noticed Raven exiting Bellamy's tent looking disheveled. She watched as the mechanic quickly threw on her jacket and walked away in a hurry, as a look of realisation passed over Aura's face.

(Me rn 👁👄👁)

She felt her heart drop slightly, but brushed it off. She didn't even know why she felt what she did. When Aura saw Bellamy leave his tent, she quickly turned around, walking to the opposite side of the camp, hoping to relieve someone from their guard duties.

Murphy, who had been looking between two, quirked his brow. He put down the fish he was gutting and walked over to the older boy. "I thought you and McKinley had a thing going on."

Bellamy gave him an annoyed look. "Excuse me?"

"Sorry man." Murphy replied, raising his arms in mock surrender and walking away. Bellamy rubbed his face in annoyance but called out after him.

"What are you talking about Murphy."

"Did you or did you not just sleep with Reyes?"

Bellamy gave him a look. "No? What no."

Murphy gave him an unimpressed look. "You don't have to lie about it Bellamy."

"Murphy, I didn't."

"Well it certainly looks that way." Murphy gestured towards Aurelia, who was standing in the distance inspecting the gun in her hands, whilst making conversation with Monroe. "McKinley thinks so too."

Bellamy momentarily froze, letting the words process. Bellamy Blake does not care what others think about him. He never has. But for some reason he felt the inexplicable urge to explain himself to Aurelia. To explain that nothing happened between him and Raven.

He cleared his throat. "Has Clarke come back yet?"

"Uh no, neither has Collins."

The older Blake furrowed his eyebrows in concern. The explanation would have to wait.
