It all seemed to happen rather quickly, Aurors arrived, asked questions and then dismissed us.

Harry told us he wanted to speak to Dumbledore so he kissed my cheek and as Harry walked off, Hermione, Ron and I went back to the Common Room, where we sat infront of the fire.

"Hey, ¾ of the Golden Quartet." A voice spoke, breaking out silence.

Our heads shot round to see Ginny walking through the portrait.

"Hey Little Weasley." I grinned up at her, grabbing her arm and pulling me to sit with me.

I shuffled myself so I was sat with my head on her lap, like I had done million times before.

"What's wrong with you lot?" She asked as she began playing with my hair, something she always did when I was up set growing up.

"We were walking through the forest with Hagrid and we..." I began, but was cut off by Ron.

"Her and Harry found Barty Crouch, he's dead."

Ginny sat quietly with us for while, her finger weaving through my hair, almost lulling me to sleep.

Almost.

It was a little while later that portrait opened up and Harry came in, a strange look on his face.

"Hey, erm, Rory, Dumbledore asked me to sent you to his office." He asked when he noticed me sat, well laid, with Ginny.

"What? Why?" I asked sitting up.

"Didn't say, come on, I'll walk with you." He offered and I nodded, standing and taking a hold of his hand.

"Are you OK?" He asked after a few minutes of silence, looking down at me.

"Yeah, it's just... I've never actually seen a dead body before and I guess, it's just scary, you know."

"I know baby, but it'll be OK." Harry sighed as he hugged me closer, while we walked to the large Gryffin Statue, the entrance to Dumbledore's office.

"I'll wait here OK." Harry smiled, kissing my forehead. I nodded and turned, spoke the passwords and then climbed up the stairs until I got the the large heavy door.

I knocked and waited until told to enter.

"Professor Dumbledore, sir, you wanted to see me?" I spoke, quietly. Dumbledore nodded and gestured to the seat before his desk, which I immediately took.

"Miss Lupin-Black. A letter came today and I though perhaps you'd want to read it?" Dumbledore spoke, picking up a letter and holding it towards me.

I looked at him confused but nodded, non the less, reaching out.

"Of course Professor." I took the letter and had a look. It wasn't particularly long letter, but what it said was the best piece of news I could have asked for.

So I began to read out loud.

Professor Dumbledore,

I had my trial today, Remus and I, we can not thank you enough, I'm sure Rory will feel the same.

The verdict came back.

I'm a free man.

Peter Pettigrew is to be held accountable for the deaths of the muggles who lost their lives that day. He is solely responsible for the death of James and Lily Potter.

Sirius Black.

"He... he's free, my dad's free?"

"He is." Dumbledore smiled softly.
