I felt a soft tug on my forearm and I managed to get almost fully conscious.

"Zylee, we're here," I heard Al grumble in my ear. I shivered slightly as my name passed his lips. I groaned as the pull to keep my head on the warm comfortable shoulder and go back to sleep hit me hard. Squeezing my eyes tighter, I nuzzled closer to the warmth of Al's body.

"Ugh, Zy... never mind," Al mumbled in my ear. I felt warm arms pull me into their chest as the seat underneath me disappeared. I opened my eyes and saw that we were now outside the car. There a thud revealed to me that Al had closed the truck door. My eyes fluttered till they closed once again.

"Just sleep," I heard his smooth voice command me. Following his words I drifted away as his steady movements swayed my body back and forth, pulling me into a deeper slumber.

When I woke up I was in a strange room all alone. I quickly sat upright on the bed with a dark green cover as I searched for Al. The room was small and only had a bed, with no Al insight.

I scrambled out of the large bed and yelled out frantically, "Al!"

There was a crashing noise from another room and within the blink of an eye, Al was in the room. He hastily pulled me into his arms as his eyes scanned the room for a threat.

"What? What is it?" He asked with worry in his voice.

I hugged him and felt myself relax now that I could see my mate. "Nothing I guess," I told him and I could tell that his guard lessened, "I just woke up all alone and you weren't there."

"I'm sorry that I left. I was making us breakfast," he apologized and kissed the top of my head. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach as the sparks radiated down my body.

I pulled away and looked into his spectacular golden eyes. "Well, what are we eating then?" I asked him with a half-smile.

"Sadly all the eggs that I was about to cook are now on my kitchen floor," he told me with a half-smile of his own. I burst out laughing, not able to contain the sound. So that's what that crashing noise was.

"I'm sorry," I said between my laughs. He shook his head with a full-blown smile on his face as well.

"You're beautiful," he suddenly told me. My laughing ceases but a smile stayed on my face at his words.

"Thank you," I replied as my cheeks started to burn.

"Hello!" I heard a strange male voice call out from a different room, interrupting the moment that was being exchanged between us. Al and I both whipped our heads towards the sound annoyed.

"How the hell did he know I'm back already?" Al asked in annoyance and disbelief.

I looked back into Al's golden eyes and asked, "Who?"

"His name is Carter. Though maybe he should change it to a pain in my ass," Al told me with a straight face.

"Alpha I can hear you!" Carter called and soon I heard footsteps coming towards us.

Al rolled his eyes ignoring the accusation. Soon a man with curly blonde hair and dark brown eyes appeared in the doorway. His eyes widened in shock when he saw me.

"Who's that?" Carter asked Al.

"She's not a that," Al grumbled displeased with the blonde-haired man.
