"I think old man is starting to be my favorite saying," Al told me as he propped himself up with his elbow. I let my hand run up and down his bare chest as I enjoyed the view of my mate naked in our bed. There is no better sight than this.

"Me too," I replied blissfully. He grabbed my hand that was on his pectoral muscle and held it there.

He leaned in to kiss me, but before our lips could connect Carter came flying through the front door. The blonde man ran into our room without any care.

"Carter!" Al and I screamed. Al moved in front of me so he was covering my naked body from the brown-eyed man.

Carter disregarded our undressed state and asked Al angrily, "Did you know?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Al shot back.

"Carter, get out!" I yelled at the former beta.

"Did you know that Vaxon killed my sister?" Carter yelled his face turning red as he did so.

"What?" Al and I both asked in shock at the same time.

Carter began to have angry tears run down his face. "This is all your fault! You went back to the Coastal Pack, and of course, he followed you! It's always about you," Carter accused Al. Then just as quickly as he came he left.

The door slammed shut and I put my hand on Al's back to try and get his attention. His golden eyes met my green ones.

"We should get dressed," I suggested to him. Al nodded and we both got up quickly.

As I was getting dressed I gasped when I was putting my shirt on. My stomach now had a noticeable bump. It was like when Al and I marked each other it somehow grew in size.

"Al, look," I ordered him. Al's golden eyes went to my stomach and he smiled widely. He placed his hand on my stomach. Butterflies erupted from inside the small bump at his touch.

"At least one good thing came from our visit to your old pack," Al whispered.

"I can't believe how much I'm showing all of a sudden. Just a few hours ago it wasn't this visible," I admitted to him.

"It might've been the marking. Our souls got combined, and we're the most powerful beings on the planet. Might've given the baby a boost of strength," Al hypothesized.

"As long as he's healthy I don't care," I confessed and finished putting my shirt on.

"We should go check up on Carter," I suggested as I walked out of our house.

"Yeah, you're right. I wonder how he got that information?" Al questioned as he followed behind me.

We started walking towards the training grounds where we hoped Carter would be. Our assumption was proven correct when we found Carter at the edge of the field punching a tree. The curly blonde man's knuckles were bleeding and I could see chunks of wood in his flesh from where I stood.

"Al stop him before he gets too hurt to heal properly," I commanded my mate. Al nodded and then faster than the eye could blink he appeared by Carter.

Al caught Carter's fist before it could slam against the damaged tree again. "That isn't going to solve anything," Al told Carter.

"Well, you're not gonna solve anything either! So at least this takes my mind off of it," Carter shot back. Sensing a fight I used my speed to get me to them quickly.

"And you think your sister would want you to hurt yourself in her name?" I asked him.

Carter's eyes filled with tears, but he refused to let them fall. His jaw was clenched and his lips set in a straight line.
