"We need to be quick," Al told me. My hand ran over the various weapons I had so dearly missed as I tried to decide which one to use first as he talked.

"Then start doing stuff," I replied with a smirk.

I gripped the handle of an ax and threw it at the farthest target. I threw two more in a rapid-fire recession. I stared in amazement when I saw where they landed. For the first time ever I did it. All of the axes were touching as they lay in a perfect triangle in the center of the target. The shot that I've only seen Mom accomplish.

"I've never been able to make that throw before," I muttered triumphantly.

"You've never done it with a fully activated hunter gene before," I heard Mom's voice say from behind me.

I turned around and my green eyes met the scrutinizing eyes of Mom's blue ones.

"Why are you here sweetie?" Mom asked me as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"We think that Al might have some hunter abilities," I admitted to her.

"Just because you two are fully mated doesn't mean that anything is transferred," Mom told me.

"Zylee has gotten some of my more advanced werewolf senses so we think it might go both ways," Al cut in.

"How is that possible?" Dad asked making my attention go to him. As I looked at him, I noticed for the first time that behind Dad was Carter, Kylie, and Jessica.

Al went quiet and I looked over at him confused at the sudden silence. I caught his gaze and saw him looking at me with an uncomfortable gleam in his golden eyes.

'Should we tell them?' Al mind linked me.

'I mean... why not?' I answered.

"We marked each other to make sure that we don't become victims of the prophecy," Al confessed.

"You what?" Dad yelled at Al. Dad stormed over angrily to my mate and grabbed the collar of his shirt violently. My heart stopped for a second in fear for my father. What was he thinking? Al could easily kill him.

Once my fear for Dad's life faded I started to just feel pissed off. If Al was mad he didn't let it show. Instead, he just let Dad threaten him without making any move of his own.

"Jackson why is that a bad thing?" Mom asked Dad confused. Oh yeah... Mom wasn't born into this world. I always forget that she doesn't know more than me.

"It means that if he dies, our daughter dies too," Dad grumbled out angrily.

"What?" Mom screeched. She stormed over to them then out of nowhere she slapped Al across the face. Al's head turned to the side from the force of her smack. My anger skyrocketed at this. All the while Al's face remained emotionless.

"Let the father of my child go right now or I swear to God that I will leave you all to deal with Vaxon on your own," I threatened my parents.

Dad reluctantly dropped Al and I sprinted over to him. Dad and Mom stepped away from his tanned figure as I got on my knees. As I sat by my mate my hands went on either side of his face as I made sure that the welt from the slap had healed.

"I'm fine," Al whispered to me. One of his hands went over mine and he placed a tender kiss on my forehead. I helped him up then I stood between him and my parents protectively.

"Are we all settled down now?" I asked everyone. Nobody answered or moved so I grabbed a gun from the table that was next to me. Once they saw the gun everyone screamed in fear.

"I'm not going to shoot you!" I snapped. They all looked at me skeptically as I handed the gun to Al. My mate held the weapon as if it were a dirty diaper.

"Ugh, human weapons," Al sneered with disgust.

"Just shoot a damn target so we can go home," I commanded him while rolling my eyes.

"Like any of the targets?" He asked.

"Yes," I grumbled.

"Can it be the close one? I've never even held a gun before. Is there like a trick to it?" Al questioned.

"Yes you can do the closest target, and we're not here to teach you how to do all of this. We're here to see if you have any hunter abilities, and if you do then it'll all just come naturally," I reminded him.

He nodded his head and squared up to the first target. He hesitantly raised the gun up. He took in a deep breath then squeezed the trigger. Bullets flew by in bulks at the first target causing steam to come off of it.

We all watched the target waiting for the smoke to fade so we could see the results. It took a few more seconds till the wind blew all traces of it away. There in the middle of the target was a single hole.

"Great Alpha. You only landed one shot," Carter snorted rolling his eyes.

"That was more than one shot," Mom muttered.

"It was all of them," I added in a shocked whisper.

"Shoot the last target!" Mom ordered Al.

"I... I don't have any more bullets," Al stuttered surprised at my mother's sudden order. I quickly grabbed a random gun off of the table and handed it to him.

"Shoot!" I commanded as I pointed to the target in question. Al raised the new gun and fired at the last target. We all stared in awe as the same results showed.

Al lowered the gun and asked, "So... what's next?"

Mom grabbed an ax and roughly placed it in Al's hand. Al quickly threw the ax at the last target and it hit the center of the target. We tested him with various weapons only to see the same results. An hour went by and nothing changed.

"This is incredible," Carter mumbled after we watched Al release his final arrow from a bow.

"Maybe incredibly stupid. He's only able to do that because his soul is bonded with Zylee's," Dad grumbled as he ran his hands through his hair.

"Get over it Dad," I replied as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I'm not just going to get over it. If he dies then you and your unborn child die too," Dad told me basically throwing his hand towards Al.

"It also means that I won't kill my mate, and my unborn child won't grow up without a father," I said. My parents went silent at my words and everyone just stared at me with big eyes.

The silence went on for a while and I started to feel uncomfortable. "We should all be leaving soon. We don't know if Dave is already done with his part," I suggested looking away from the group.

"Zylee is right. We should all get going," Al agreed.

"Well... you heard the King. Let's go," Carter told everyone.
