Having Fun.

Sally called me and Casey out to hit some of the local night clubs since we had weekends off. We hadn't left the loft since a few months back. So Casey urged me and we decided to invite Emily and her boyfriend but I felt a bit bad that Sally would be a third wheel or would she be a fifth wheel. She said she was fine with it and I took her at her word.

Since this place was having a dress up theme I chose to wear a white blazer and matching shirt with a black bow. I left untied because it's a look and I'm lazy. With black jeans and black sneakers. Casey on the other hand was dazzling as in her top was sequins but she did wear that nice bra that made her breasts look so amazing and her black jeans that really show off her bum. I wanted to forget the club and there stupid theme night and just have Casey to myself. But we went and Emily was with her man and Sally looked stunning.

Once we went inside the nightclub and got a booth. I went to the bathroom and left everyone for a short bit. Emily was sizing up Sally and started conversation.

"So Sally tell me about this wonderful man you have in Vancouver? Catch me up?."

"Oh he's a great guy and really funny."

"What's his name?."

"Haha um why?."

"No reason."

"Em....what's going on?."

"Nothing Case just asking Sally about life."

"You are being a bit hostile."

"Oh no Casey it's fine."

"What did I miss everyone."

Suddenly a song came on and Sally jumped up and said she wanted to dance and Emily got up with her guy. I looked over to Casey but she said it was fine and to go dance with her and to save her the next dance.

"I love this song it's called Destiny by Rich Miller."

"It's a little slow for a nightclub?."

"Oh I know the DJ and asked him to play it."

"Why?."

"What if you are my destiny."

"Sally....I'm with Casey."

"But you miss me. I miss you. It won't work it's basically incest."

I watched Casey and her expression was pained. Sally was throwing it in my face what I knew to well. What's been there between me and Case and what always will be. But as the song went on and when the singer said 'two worlds collide I want you here next to me' I left Sally on the dance floor.

"Casey can I have this dance."

"What about Sally?."

"What about her? I will always only want you."

"Derek."

Right when Casey put her hand in mine the song went 'now baby you are my destiny' and we went to the dance floor I don't know who this Sally is. I knew her so long ago that this manipulative and conniving woman is a stranger. My heart did crack for the girl I once loved but at this moment I moved on from her fully. I was over her but now I let her go. I looked at Casey and saw my future and the insecurity I sometimes felt melted tonight because I picked her and will always pick her.

Sally came up to us and asked me one last time if I wanted to make the smart choice. And I looked at her and told her that I was and it isn't her. She left immediately and Casey asked me what had happened while I was dancing with Sally,that it looked intimate to her. I laughed and told her that it was the farthest thing from that. I was honest and told her that I had lingering feelings for her but that tonight showed me that I loved the Sally from almost a decade ago. Not who I met tonight and who manipulated me the previous day.

"I didn't expect that and it's shocking."

"Doesn't matter Casey. Sally won't be the last but I pick you."

"I pick you too Derek."

Once the song ended I kissed Casey and then a high action song played that was a mix of random songs. I and Casey jumped around and acted like idiots and were joined by Emily and her guy. Emily asked what happened to our fifth wheel and Casey told her to which Emily smiled at me proud and said I did well. I smiled back and the night ended on a high note.

We went back to our booth and got shots, we downed them and celebrated the fun time we all had. I hoped nothing would happen more with Sally that this rejection would be what she needed and that she wouldn't try to mess with my life with Casey. But I was nervous because I believed her when she said she just wanted to hang out and excited by her so called support of us. People change and I realized that but it felt like a jab and hurt. I held on to Casey and kissed her like my life depended on it.

At the loft Casey said she was excited for her schools recital as her girls were doing really well. I told her I couldn't wait to see the fruits of her labor. I told her about the one witness that could ruin the case but that I was mostly research and told my boss. Casey said that in no time I'll be partner. I loved just snuggling up with her didn't matter if I'm big or little spoon it just matters that it's her. The wedding planner called and asked Casey when she and I were free to look at venues and we told her we would tell her. We didn't know how we would pull this off. Casey joked we should just elope to Las Vegas and go to the little white chapel.

I asked her what she wanted to do and she just said marry me. I smiled and kissed her slowly.
