Casey and I finally found a good wedding planner. She runs a home wedding planning business and lives for those fairytale endings you see in Disney movies. A sweet woman by the name of Kelsey. Today we were touring locations and she picked Cherry Beach which is mainly known for parties and teens going crazy but turns out during the week it is quiet and beautiful.

"We can set up an archway with whatever flower you love. Both for yourself and your handsome groom here."

"Casey and I really love Daisys."

"Haha that's right Derek,we love daisies."

"Alright so picture this a beautiful archway with isles with daisies and an archway that matches."

"As long as I get to marry her than I'm happy."

"Haha this looks like a dream but how much to rent out this area of the beach."

"Well it isn't to rent since it is public but we just need a permit and we can host here."

"That's terrific."

"Yeah this is lucky."

Kelsey told us she would call the city to set up the permit and that just left the guest list. We knew some people from work who knew us as an engaged couple. But thinking of our parents and family and how everyone except Casey's cousin are now ignoring us. It was just another emotional sting.

We said bye to Kelsey and said we would meet in a few days to pick out food and catering. Casey said some days she wanted to just elope to Vegas because we were getting married on a budget. Taking out loans while still paying off student loans. This wasn't smart I'll admit but wouldn't we regret not having a real wedding later? I was thinking that while walking along the beach with Casey as she was holding my arm.

"What the hell!?."

We turned and saw my old friend Sam,he was shocked while looking at us and we were completely frozen. Life just shoves little run ins like this into our faces to really drive that pin in that we will always be judged.

"Listen Sam."

"What am I seeing? I mean this looks intimate or am I crazy?."

"Sam...I-."

"This is why you messed with me and Casey back in high school....dude she's your sister."

"Step sister."

"How long have you liked her?."

"Sam it isn't just Derek."

"Oh I can see that."

"Sam calm down."

"OH SOMEHOW IM IN THE WRONG AT MY SHOCK."

"Sam."

"THIS IS REPULSIVE."

"Sam...please let us explain."

"Explain what Casey? That you are fucking your step brother and didn't your mom have a baby? So aren't you half siblings or some shit!."

"No...listen..I."

"Derek what the hell I thought we were friends and Casey. We used to date way back when."

"Sam please....it's not like we planned this."

"That true Derek? Did you just jump into incest or was it a gradual decline."

"Watch what you say buddy."

"Oh what are you going to do about it pal."

Sam and I were snarling at one another at this point. We were one word away from a fight at this public beach when suddenly Casey came between us and fainted. I caught her and Sam helped me. She was so cold and her hands felt clammy and when I looked at Sam he had the same concern as me so we each threw one of her arms over our shoulders and got her to the car. Sam ended up coming with me to a walk in clinic just to see what they could do quickly or examine her.

While in the waiting room Sam hardly spoke to me and kept eyeing the exit. I didn't know how to even begin and this wasn't the place for that conversation. A nurse came up to me and asked me to follow her to the doctors office.

"I've examined your fiancée and it isn't conclusive until the test comes in."

Casey was crying and I went to her fearing the worst in this four by eight eggshell painted room. With charts and three green cupboards and a sink.I looked at the brown doctor with dark hair who seemed to understand something I didn't and when he opened his mouth so many things changed.

"Casey told me of her fear and symptoms and we both talked and she maybe is pregnant."

We had been having unprotected sex for awhile and talked about having kids. We were both stable in our careers so this isn't bad news this was wonderful news. But Casey was crying her eyes out and the doctor told us she was only about three weeks along. He said he would give us some privacy to talk and closed the door.

"Derek what do we do!."

"I mean you and I talked about having kids."

"Yes but I didn't think it would happen this quick."

"I mean we haven't been safe so this is fine."

"Now our parents will never speak to us, Edwin was right."

"Wait when did you speak to Ed?."

Casey looked at me dumbfounded because this was a slip of information she didn't think she would share. I looked at her and she began explaining that she had met Edwin and he basically told her to end this and the pain him and Lizzy were going through. I laughed and couldn't stop until Casey asked me if I'd lost it.

"I saw Lizard and she basically said the same scripted message with me."

"What! Why didn't you tell me? When?."

"Why didn't you tell me about Ed?."

"Because I wanted to protect you!."

"There's your answer."

Casey and I started to laugh and she just put her head under my chin and I cradled her.

"What should we do?."

"What do you want to do Casey?."

"What do you mean?."

"I'll support whatever you chose."

"I...I'm not sure I want to think it over."

"Alright."

"Thank you Derek."

"No thanks necessary,I love you."

"I love you."

As we came out and Sam saw us holding hands he got up to leave. Casey stopped him and asked him if he would be willing to just hear us out and meet up sometime for a diner and I asked him to. He said that he will need a month or so but that to message him or text him after and we could work this out. With that we drove home and Sam said he would bus it to his place. I might be a father soon,Jesus what do I do.
