On the way back home after hugging everyone a pit grew and I was filled with guilt.Racked with the shameless way we behaved,I am not that girl,the type who sleeps with a guy in the back of a bar/restaurant. The moment came flooding back and I felt confused.

"Derek do you think that they would be okay with us,our friends I mean?" Derek looked like he was drowning in his thoughts. "Honestly I'm terrified of the day we tell them Case" I felt the same dread he did and worse what the family would say I mean the Brady bunch was cute but I don't think there was a step sibling wedding special.

Upon arriving home,everyone had started diner. We just went in and acted normal,we've only just started whatever this is and it already feels like to much,I wanted Derek and this is the price we pay.

I knew there were chances that someone would catch on or we'd slip up,the anxiety was nerve wracking almost paralyzing. "Case we will be fine,things will somehow work out" I didn't know if I believed him but I wanted to. Suddenly I realized we were both in the bathroom too long and pushed Derek "what are you doing?" I looked at him "we got through diner but don't you think us getting to along will raise suspicion onto us" suddenly he realized it and lightly pushed me back like he used to back when were teens.

"OW DER-ICK" I said it with the 'ick' hyphenated for effect and heard "damn there they go again,only a small reprieve and they are playing bathroom commandos" while Edwin said back to Lizzie "yeah but at least it's back to normal" and I heard Marti coming "smerek be nice to Casey!" I laughed and said "thanks Marti" as she opened the door and gave me a hug.

Everyone dispersed and with the hallway quiet I quickly went and turned to see Derek making faces in the mirror like he was at some concert, and closed the door lightly before he noticed and kissed him on the cheek "g'night" I said to his blushing face. "Bathrooms all yours Case" with a sly smile on his face as he leaned in almost to kiss me but instead he pressed the mouth wash to his lips. I exclaimed "DEREK" and he ran out laughing.

Things were different but in the same vain they were the same. That innocent jab was annoying but now it was somehow cute, I smiled and brushed my teeth and used the mouth wash,then headed for bed. Trying not to let the guilt wash over me about once again lying to friends and family,we started this and somehow it's our choice how it ends or if it does.
