I saw how depressed Casey was since the Sally scandal. She had wondered who would truly ever support us and doubting everyone who did already. I called Emily and asked her to take Casey for the day since she hadn't been in the mood to plan for the wedding and I want her to just feel secure about us and the people who've genuinely accepted us. Emily agreed and since school was out for march break Casey had time. I told her that Emily wanted to take her to lunch and Casey acquiesced even though she wasn't into the idea.

"Ready to head out."

"As I'll ever be."

"Let's go."

I wasn't in the mood to do anything since Sally and I hate to admit it but she really hit me. Took the wind out of that small Dasey ship that Emily had helped to set sail. I feel overwhelming doubt and just don't know if this wedding is a good idea. Emily was looking at wedding dresses by a window and I went over to see what was so mesmerizing.

"God I hope I can wear that one on the right manikin! How about you Case?."

"I hadn't given my dress a lot of thought lately."

"Oooo lets go in and try on some."

"Em I...HEY WAIT FOR ME!."

A pleasant blond girl came up to us and asked if we had a fitting scheduled and Emily said we were window shopping. But she then mentioned how I was getting married soon and desperately needed a dress. The clerk was giddy and asked to see the ring and I showed it. She couldn't help but ask me about Derek. I told her the easy parts and she wanted to help me at least have options and told me a month was crazy because a wedding takes a year or so. I told her I work best under pressure.

Suddenly I was in a changing room and putting on a fashion show for Emily and the associate. Ten dresses later and I felt less than enthused but that's when the associate came up to my change room with the one.

"Feel like a princess in this glamorous A-line wedding dress. We just love the contrast of the fun and bouncy waterfall skirt and the lace embroidery which adorns the bodice."

"What's this dress called?!."

"Rochelle."

"Who made it?."

"Viva Bride it's more a budget."

"I'll try her on it looks so beautiful."

"Terrific!."

Once I zipped it up I finally saw myself as a bride. I could picture myself and Derek somewhere by the sea. Flowers around us and him standing front and Centre with a smile and a tear drop while looking my way. I know because I am crying at this beautiful gown. I came out and Emily glanced up from her phone.

"This is the one Casey!."

"I couldn't agree with you more!."

"Enter Princess Casey Venturi!."

"Haha I might hyphenate but I love that."

Once Casey bought the dress she felt that she took the first step to her wedding. To being Dereks wife and the mother of their kids. She started to cry a little.

"Casey what's wrong?."

"Em,thank you honestly I didn't know who was still on our side and felt like I was suffocating."

"Hey what's important is that you are on your own side Casey! But I am a million percent behind you two."

"I love you Em."

"I love you Case."

Casey asked the clerk if the dress could be delivered to her loft and provided an address. The clerk agreed and marked the dress for her and once Casey changed Emily asked her where she wanted to go grab lunch.

Casey said that August eight was the perfect choice and Emily agreed. They were serving and got lucky as there weren't many people here so they could talk.

"How does what Sally tried to do make you feel."

"Just doubt,Em. I'm filled with anxiety and doubt."

"That's ok Casey. Your whole life changed but so did his. So you have to ask yourself. Does being with Derek make you happy and vice versa."

"I am happy every time I see him or kiss him. I feel that deeply but I worry if anyone else finds out."

"It isn't illegal."

"But it isn't socially acceptable,Em."

"I understand and believe me I panicked thinking about that. But seeing you together."

"See us together?."

"It just looks like that ending we all want."

"What happens if someone finds out and we lose our jobs though."

"Listen there isn't a point to overthinking now, take each problem as it happens. Together."

Emily rested her hand on Casey's and Casey exhaled and didn't know she was holding that air in. Casey was still a control freak sometimes and a klutzilla but what annoyed her the most is that she still over thought everything. And still tries to conquer problems that haven't happened yet. But back up plans are smart and it's crazy not to have them.

Still Casey calmed down and felt that a building was lifted off of her. The two people she saw lifting it off was Emily and Derek. Once they ate and split the bill and said bye. Casey was happier than she had been in months. Emily's encouragement was powerful and helped her and she wanted to do the same for Derek.

At the loft Casey started her lesson plan for the next dance classes once this break was over. And her dress was delivered and she couldn't stop looking at it in the protective plastic cover. She zipped it up and hung it in her closet. Casey heard Derek coming in and she took off to the door.

"I'm home-!."

Casey kissed Derek and hugged him tightly and he grabbed her and kissed her just as intensely.

"Derek if you have any insecurities or doubts let me know."

"Where's this coming from."

"You always take care of me and I feel like I'm not taking care of you."

"You are but I'll let you know and I'm guessing it went well with Emily."

"Thanks to you and I found my dress and I'm ready to plan are you ready?."

"Heck YEAH I AM!."

Derek grabbed her by the waist and spun Casey around the room and they laughed sharing a beautiful moment.
