week later mateo's pov
i havent heard or seen Karla ever since the ball. She's been on my mind lately, i never thought of having a relationship or being like my father in the past.
Mom- everything good
she said as she waved her hand infront of me
mateo- yea yea, why
Mom- me and your dad are going out for dinner, and get some flowers for grandma
she said grabbing her purse
mateo- sounds good
mom- call me okay, and dont forget to give your grandma some flowers pls
She said as she kissed my cheek and my dad arrived. He smiled and put his hand on my hair messing it up a bit. i sighed and fixed my hair. they boys had left early to go racing, my uncles were in the back talking while my aunts were at the mall having a a day for themselves.
alexa- where's brandon
she said as she came downstairs with anna next to her
mateo- racing why
alexa- just curious, were going out. bye
she said as she grabbed the door, after they left i left too.

karla's pov
devin- what do you mean!
karla- i dont like him but then i do okay!
devin- no no no, stick to your plan or else everything's gonna-
karla- and why can't i date him, their's something your not telling me
i said crossing my arms
Devin- i- um their's nothing about i-
Mariano- im here
He said as he burst in the living room.
karla- hi, bye dad
i said as i grabbed my keys
mariano- where you going
karla- uh im gonna grab something to eat
i said as i opened the door and left. Sometimes i just leave the house and walked around the city or the beach, makes me feel good and get away from my toxic parents.

mateo's pov
Mateo- thank you
i said as i handed the lady the money and took the flowers from her. i was walking back to the car when i bumped into someone
???- omfg, watch it
she said
mateo- shit, im sorr-
i said as i looked up and seen karla. her shirt was all stained and i guess it was coffee.
Mateo- no, fr im so sorry, I wasn't paying attention
i said as i pulled out a napkin from my suit and handed it to her
karla- sorry i didnt know it was you, it's just a shirt
she said as he put her hoodie over it once she finished wiping it.
Mateo- so what are you doing around here
karla- just trying to bet some fresh air
mateo- i see
I chuckled
Karla- who's are those for
She said looking at them
Mateo- my grandma, here
i said taking a flower out and handing it to here, she smelled it and smiled
Karla- thank you, um i should get going. My parents are calling
she said looking at her phone
Mateo- i can take you
i said as i opened my car.
Karla- mate-
Mateo- I insist
i smiled and made her smile. she got in and i closed the door. i got in and we started driving. It was a bit silent at first.
Karla- so tell me more about your self
mateo- their really isn't anything to talk about. i mean im 18, i now run a mafia, everyone knows my parents and that's pretty much it i guess
Karla- really? Favorite color now
she said as we got to a red light
Mateo- red? Yours
Karla- purple, okay next question um any siblings
she said and my smile turned into a small frown, and the green light had turned on.
mateo- i had a sister
Karla- what happened
Mateo- um- i
i fake chuckled
Karla- sorry that was dumb, im sorry
she said and looked at me, i looked at her then back at the road
mateo- it's okay
i said and she looked out the window. i dropped her off at her house and watched as she walked in.

Mateo- mommy!!
i yelled as uncle kai was holding me back. Minuets later dad came out the room, i ran to him and cried in his arms.
Mateo- is mommy okay
I said he wiped my tears and pulled me into another hug again
Mattia/dad- yes, she's sleeping
He said and carried me to my room
