Kate's Pov

My day started of like any other, showered in that freezing water, had my rocket fuel and the usual route to work, little did I know how much my mood would change that day.

"Yo Kate" Yells Josh from across the room.

"Hey Josh. What's up?" I ask.

"Are you okay? You seem so out of it lately" He asked.

"Yeah I am okay" I smile.

"You sure?" He asked with a worried look on his face.

"Katy" Yells Adelyn as we made her way to us.

"Hey Adelyn" I smile.

"Drinks later? It's on me" Smiles Adelyn.

"Yeah sure. The usual place?" I ask.

"Yup" She smiled.

"Then it's settled" I say.

"Leo wants to see you in his office" Says Josh as he interupts.

"Sure let's go" Says Adelyn.

"Not you.. Adelyn" Says Josh.

"I'm her boss. I should be there" Says Adelyn.

"And Leo is your boss. You should not" Says Josh as he rolls his eyebrows.

"It's fine Adelyn" I say to her.

"You sure?" She says.

"I am" I smile.

"Okay. I will take you up there then" Says Adelyn as she heads to the elevator.

"Kate" Whispers Josh.

"What's up?" I ask.

"What's going on between you and Adelyn?" He asked.

"Nothing really" I say.

"Does not seem like nothing Kate" Says Josh.

"It's nothing. Trust me" I whisper as I walk to the elevator.

"When was the last time you spoke to Jane?" He asks as I stop.

"Ever since that day" I say as I turn around.

"Do you know what's going on with her?" Asks Josh.

"Should I?" I ask.

"You really should" Says Josh.

"I will pass" I sigh as I head to the elevator as Adelyn awaited me.

"You coming?" Says Adelyn to Josh.

We all then headed up to Leo's office, the air felt so thick and was filled with so much awkwardness. The elevator door then opened as we all headed to Leo's office. I wonder whats going on? Whenever he summons me for a meeting, it usually never ends well. Josh then opened the door as we step in. Immediately catching my attention was the cologne I knew so well. There she was Jane Connor.

"Oh great" Says Adelyn.

"Who invited you?" Says Jane.

"I am here for Kate" Says Adelyn as Jane grinds her teeth.

"Well you can have her, would you also like the sandwich I threw out this morning?" Says Jane.

"Kate is worth more than diamonds" Says Adelyn as she put her hand on my shoulder which made Jane grind her teeth even louder.

"Is your little bitch fight over?" Asks Leo as he intervened.

"Not even close" Says Jane as she gave Adelyn the death stare.

"Don't you have work to do?" Says Josh to Adelyn.

"Nope" Says Adelyn as she takes a seat.

"I don't want her here" Says Jane as she folds her arms.

"Adelyn leave. This meeting is private" Says Leo.

"Okay boss but I will get it out of Kate later when I take her for drinks" Says Adelyn as she gets up and heads for the door.

"What are you doing here?" I say to Jane.

"We need to talk" Says Jane.

"Why here?" I ask.

"Sit down Kate" Says Josh. I sit down as I stare at Jane but she did not make eye contact with me.

"Go ahead" Says Leo to Jane.

"Someone forged my signature and sold over Connor Enterprises. Disabled all my accounts and hacked my database. Do you know anything about that?" Asks Jane.

"Should I?" I say as I fold my arms.

"I lost all those years of hard work. I am not playing a game right now Kate" Says Jane.

"I know nothing about that" I say.

"Someone also hacked our database this morning and distributed all our publications free online and crashed our servers while they were at it" Says Leo.

"What do I have to do with this?" I say confused.

"That's what we did like to know" Says Leo.

"Dark Blue Enterprises bought my company for one dollar. Does that name ring a bell to you?" Asks Jane.

"I'm afraid it does not" I say as I sounded very cold.

"Someone with username GreenScream hacked us. Does that name ring a bell to you?" Asks Josh.

"No. It does not" I say confused.

"Grey.. dark Blue... green..." Says Jane as she stared at me.

Those colours.. the hooded group...

"Kate. These two events are linked to one IP address" Says Josh.

"Then it should be easy to find the culprit" I say as I get up.

"Your IP address" Says Jane as her voice cracked.

"I have nothing to do with this" I say enraged.

"Kate... all signs point to you" Says Jane.

"I don't believe this" I say as I look at Josh.

"We are aware but we will find out who did. For now I am afraid you are on indefinite suspension" Says Josh as he bite his lip.

"You are kidding me" I say laughing.

"Clear out your office" Says Leo.

"This is a mistake" I say as a tear fell out my eye.

"We will get to the bottom of this Kate. I promise" Says Josh as he tries to console me.

"Do not touch me" I yell sniffling.

I then headed straight to the door as Jane called out to me.

"Kate" She says a I turn around.

"Yes?" I say.

"If I find out that you were the one behind this.. I am afraid nothing will be able to save you" Says Jane with that dead cold eyes I never wanted to see again.

"Is that a threat Ms. Connor?" I say.

"It is a warning " She says.

"This is how much you trust me Ms. Connor. Thanks for showing that to me" I say as I exit the office.

Does she really think, I have something to do with this? Why Jane.. I thought you trusted me..
