Dixie.

For the first time in a while, I thought I was going to have a normal day: just school, practice and then studying. Obviously, I was wrong.

I didn't see (Y/N) leave the locker room. I wondered how her day with Madison had been. Oddly, my friend wouldn't tell me, and that made Claudia and I curious about what happened to make Madison so bothered.

"Do you think they kissed?" I asked as Claudia and I left the locker room, feeling more bothered that I'd like to admit.

"W... What? No, no way. That definitely didn't happen." Claudia chuckled.

"I think so too, but Madison didn't even want to talk about it." I responded.

"Yeah, but she's straight, that wouldn't make sense."My friend replied, I raised an eyebrow, making her roll her eyes,

"Oh, c'mon, you said it yourself that she seemed a little too interested!" I defended my theory.

"Maybe she has a crush on (Y/N), but we've seen her have secret crushes on girls before, she never admits it and then we eventually forget about it. She wouldn't go as far as kissing a girl, I think she's terrified of even the thought of it." Claudia said, I sighed. I felt bad for Madison, she grew up in a rich conservative family, and she was their perfect little girl, any steps out of that perfect bubble would drive her parents crazy, and she knew it. I knew she wasn't scared of liking or kissing girls, but, even though she wouldn't admit it, the idea of her parents even dreaming about her being different than what they expected terrified her.

"Look, I'll pass by her place and try to talk to her, I'll let you know if she tells me what happened." My friend told me, I nodded.

"Would you be mad if she'd kissed (Y/N)?" She asked, making me laugh a little.

"Not at all." I replied, she looked at me for a couple seconds before saying anything.

"Yeah, ok." She giggled.

"I'm serious! I would like to keep myself as single as I can." I crossed my arms. She chuckled and turned on her heels, walking away after saying a quick goodbye.

The thought of Madison kissing (Y/N) bothered me a little bit, but not enough to worry me. I wouldn't be very clever to worry about someone who'd be out of the country in a couple months anyway. What I felt for her was probably built up tension.

As I walked to my car, I noticed a familiar car approaching me. Oh, c'mon.

"Hey, princess." A known voice called out, I looked at the window and saw Ashley's face.

"This is getting old." I groaned.

"Wanna go for a ride?" She asked.

"Didn't I just text you a big "no"?" I hissed.

"Yeah, but I just wanted to make sure." She explained, I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath, feeling exhausted from the situation.

"There you are! I'm sorry I took so long." A voice said behind me, I felt someone's arm sliding around my waist tightly and looked behing me to find (Y/N).

"Dating two people at the same time, Dix? You really are outdoing yourself." Ashley said dryly.

"Oh, no we're not dating yet." (Y/N) responded casually, I watched my ex' eyes grow dark in anger.

"Neither are we, Ashley." I completed, the blonde laughed ironically.

"Yeah, whatever, text me when you start to miss me again. Yesterday was great." She said before driving away, I felt my face burn at her words.

"Thanks." I turned to (Y/N), her arms still protectively around me.

"You didn't look too happy, I hope I didn't interrupt anything." She responded, I turned to face her and noticed she didn't let go of my waist.

"Not at all." I chuckled, looking at her with a smile. The soccer player sighed and stroked my waist softly, looking at me with tender eyes, her gaze piercing through mine.

"Ok then." She said softly, starting to let go from me, I held her arm, stopping her.

"Are you doing anything right now?" I asked, struggling to look into her eyes and focus on what I was saying.

"I was about to walk home?" She responded.

"Wanna go somewhere?" I invited.

"It depends... are we going to study?" She questioned, making me chuckle.

"I don't plan on it." I said.

"Oh, then I'm not interested!" She said, I laughed.

"C'mon." I chuckled, taking her by the hand, she looked slightly surprised.

"Are we going back to the school?" She raised her eyebrows as I took her back into the building.

"Just trust me." I responded as we walked.

I took her back to the soccer field, it was already empty by then. Cheerleading practice had ended and the place looked almost peaceful, the sun shining into the grass and a soft wind hitting our skins.

I sat down on the grass and sighed. My teammate sat by me and we looked at each other for a couple seconds.

"More peaceful than I thought." She commented.

"It can be." I responded.

Looking into her eyes, I felt extremely peaceful. Maybe beacuse we were alone sitting on the grass as the wind struck us, I felt like I could just stay there. (Y/N) smiled when a strand of my hair stuck to my face, she tucked it behind my ear softly, her fingertips stroking my skin. My whole body shivered up at the built up tension, I felt like I couldn't take another minute without kissing her.

"What's on your mind?" She questioned.

"That maybe it'll rain." I responded, noticing a couple clouds blocking the sun.

"Really?" She asked.

"What else would I think about?" I retorted, forcing myself to look into her eyes.

"You tell me." (Y/N) said, taking her hand off my face and resting it on the grass. Craving some sort of her touch, I rested my hand on top of hers. I didn't respond. She looked down for a second and then into my eyes, I felt my heart race when she touched the necklace I was wearing, almost analyzing it.

I couldn't take it anymore.

I took her hands off my necklace aggressively and pulled her in.
