EYES
Do you ever see the eyes in the wall?
Staring hard at you through your rise and fall,
Blinking silently while laying in wait,
Waiting for the ambush that would decide your fate.
Do you ever see the eyes in the shadow?
Closing in on you wherever you go,
Camouflaged away like the dreaded black ninjas,
Ready to stun you at the slightest change in the color of your grass.
Do you ever see the eyes noticing you in thin air?
Keeping tabs on you without you willing to care,
Proud of you when you seem to be doing well,
The other way round when you self-destruct and jump right into the well.
Do you ever see the eyes that despise you?
Get mad at you for being so original and true,
Hating on you for being so favored and successful,
Spoiling your reputation without you even being mindful.
