LOCKED AWAY

Imprisoned within the circular wall called your head,
You become terribly frightened and scared,
Weeping away from the notice of those looking into your eyes as they pass by,
The only question you have for yourself is "WHY?".

With nowhere to run and hide,
You slowly get on your knees to a side,
Pessimistic on the inside and optimistic on the outside,
Only you can understand what others don't see away from your inside.

Locked away with no stern restrictions,
Your mind takes over to lay out instructions,
Just like a prison warden does to his respective prisoners,
You become submissive to your mind and other potential executioners.

Meekly smiling to the world and greatly suffering within,
What line of action have you decided to begin,
Your mind shouldn't keep you imprisoned for as long as it likes,
Only you can put an end to all the pain of its heavy strikes.
