THERE WOULD COME A TIME
There would come a time when it would be too late to make amends,
The time available would be too short to fix all the bends,
With the endeavors of your prime when you seem to be soaring up high like war jets,
Would that late period be about a life of fulfilment or that of regrets? There would come a time when sorry would be too hard to say,
A time when your early life would expect its pay,
With karma waiting sexily in a corner filing her nails,
That particular time would require no more bails. There would come a time when it'd be too late to miss anyone,
Did you treat them right or distortedly mow them over like an overgrown lawn?
Positive and negative questions would stream into your mind unlimitedly,
Whatever your attitude felt like would set off your judgement immediately. There would then be a time when life closes its gates at you,
When you know your everlasting time is already due,
With the inevitable closing in to carry out its duty,
It's left to you to brood over if you lived life very safely or played it thoroughly dirty.Temitope Omotoso
