GRAVESTONES

Written on them are long epistles,
Implanted in the zones where the wind whistles,
Bearing tears and minutes of last respect,
Gravestones symbolizes the end of the road where people receive more than they can ever get.

Filled with the decorations of the world,
Its beautification seems too expensive to afford,
Is it a norm that ensures the dead have a wealthy afterlife?
Maybe it's a flex of financial muscle the dead never got while they were alive in the strife.

People would act so selfish with wealth,
Splash it all on gravestones as an act of respect,
Who they think they're fooling still remains an unsolved puzzle,
Where were they when the dead was striving and getting pummeled in the tussle?

Hypocrisy lingers around the upstand nature of gravestones,
Fake tears and wailings make up the rhythm of the mourn tones,
What are the use of the fake words and riches surrounding the graveyard?
How is that going to ever make up for the afterlife of someone that was abandoned to die sad?

Every poor union has a bit of riches attached to it,
Riches they could never have when they were alive and fit,
Riches that'd later be splashed out on long epistles and constructions,
Both of which are uselessly placed on gravestones as hypocritical compensations.
