Your POV

I woke up in my bedroom in Brooklyn with the sun shining down my face. I was facing the window. I could see the outline of midtown Manhattan in the distance. I felt an arm on my stomach. I didn't need to turn around to know that Leo was beside me. Normally, I loved waking up beside my boyfriend; but waking up in the building that my stepdad currently manages is not the best way to start the day. Oh and aside from that, the rest of the eight, Will, and Nico slept over. Did I also mention that our respective godly-now-turned-mortal parents were here? Well, at least it's not all of the gods. Some had to stay at camp and Reyna had to return to California.

I looked over at the clock. 12:51 PM. Boy, did we sleep in. Let me back up: last night, I stormed into Brooklyn House through the portal I mounted on Zeus's Fist (much to everyone's surprise). I was so overcome by jetlag and rage that I completely forgot it was 1:00 AM and everyone was possibly asleep. I had tunnel vision and all I wanted to do was yell at Julius. I knew I shouldn't have trusted that guy. I was about to step out when Leo stopped me and brought me to my senses. We agreed to wait until morning, then sleep came over us.

I sat up and rubbed my face. I turned to see everyone else still asleep in sleeping bags on the floor. Some were asleep on the sofa. My bed was only big enough for Leo, me, Percy and Annabeth, much to Poseidon's discomfort. I moved to get up and freshen up in my bathroom. I came back and looked out the balcony. The sun was up above our roof. I looked out to the towering Manhattan skyscrapers and thought about how far I've come. I had mixed feelings. In a few weeks, it would be my Broadway debut. On the other hand, the gods were all dethroned from the heavens, possibly the Egyptians have been, too. I jumped when I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist.

"How was London?" Leo asked in a groggy voice.

"It was amazing," I said quietly. "But it would have been a lot better with you."

I could see a faint blush rise in his cheeks. "Care to tell me what you do yet?"

I shook my head. "You'll find out soon."

He moved to stand beside me and lean on the railing. "So this is your bedroom, huh," he said. "Looks a little empty."

"Was my bedroom," I corrected. "I moved out a few months ago."

His head snapped at me, eyes wide. "What?! When did that happen?"

"About 2 months ago," I said still keeping my eyes on the horizon. "We signed the lease before we went to London."

"You should've told me," he said a bit quieter now. "All this time when we would go on dates, I would pick you up and drop you off in Brooklyn."

"I mean I do come from school," I said. "It's just one train ride away. I could get there in an hour, tops. Usually less. It's not a big deal."

"It is, (y/n). I want to know you're getting home safe."

"Well I'm still alive so that means I'm getting home safe," I looked at him amusingly. He looked back at me with a concerned expression. "Leo, you don't have to worry about me," I reassured. "It's not hard to get to school and it's a lot easier to get to work since it's closer. It's literally a 3-minute walk to work. It's a really nice neighborhood and I get to split rent with Austin and Eva. And when I transfer that rock-portal to my new bedroom, I'll have an emergency exit to camp."

Leo sighed and wrapped an arm around me. The early spring breeze flew past us. He put a finger under my chin and forced me to look at him.

"Why did you move out anyway?"
