Leo's POV

It's been a couple months now since (y/n) and I have been... Well... Should I say dating? I don't know.

We hadn't made it official yet but we were sort of a thing now. We celebrated Valentine's day, we've kissed everyday (some days may lead to a few make out sessions).

She said she wanted to take things slow, so I didn't press her. But now we were just another few months away from setting sail. This quest wasn't just the typical "get rid of the empousai in Zeus's yard" or "fetch my dad's magic hammer". This quest was a make or break for us and for the entire world. By now, all I felt was carpe diem. And so I did.

I walked over to the infirmary to look for (y/n). I didn't want to die before I had a proper girlfriend. It was now or never.

"Hey, Kayla," I said as I entered.

"Hey, Leo," she said. "You need anything?"

"I'm just looking for your sister—um, friend—sorry. I keep on forgetting (y/n)'s not an Apollo kid."

She smiled lightly. "It's fine. Sometimes she forgets it too. She's probably in the break room."

"Thanks," I said as I waved and walked to a small room at the back of the infirmary. It wasn't anything special. Just a few shelves and a fridge, a water dispenser, a small kitchenette, a long sofa, and a dining table in the middle of the room. (a/n: okay I made this up)

It looked like a typical office break room. A few Apollo kids were lounging or casually chatting with each other. I saw (y/n) sitting across Will, eating (f/s). They looked pretty serious, so I decided to come back later. I didn't want to disturb them.

Just as I was about to head out, Austin saw me and called me over. Everyone looked at me and greeted me with a smile. (Y/n) and Will called me over to sit with them.

"So," Will said as I sat beside (y/n). He gave her a subtle playful look as I put my arm around her. "What brings you to the infirmary and into (y/n)'s warm embrace?"

(Y/n) rolled her eyes at him.

"Well," I said, "I was hoping to ask your sister—I mean, best friend—here on a date later? Maybe after dinner on top of Zeus's Fist?"

She studied me curiously. "Aren't you working on the ship?"

"Yeah... But," I replied, slowly loosing my confidence. "I... Um... I really need to talk to you about something important."

"I can step out no—"

"NO!" I yelped, causing a few of the medics to look at me. "Sorry—I mean, it can wait until tonight, really. I should get going. See you after dinner?"

"Alright," she said.

"See ya, Guppy," I said as I kissed her forehead. "Bye, guys."
