Your POV

This was it.

It was the night of June 20th. Cabin 9 had finally finished their biggest project yet. You know what, scratch that. Camp Half-Blood has finished the biggest project history has seen.

After six months, with the help of the entire camp, the Argo II was finally ready to set sail.

Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo and I said goodbye to our friends. I certainly took my time with the Apollo cabin. A few tears were shed here and there. For me, though, the hardest goodbye was with their counselor, Will Solace. Gods, I was going to miss this gay of sunshine. Damn it, I wouldn't call anyone gay of sunshine for weeks!

The entirety of cabin 7 huddled over for a group hug with me, Will being the one to directly hug me.

"Alright guys," I said trying to hold back tears, "it's time for me to get on board. And remember..."

"You're coming back," they said in unison, "and don't give Boleyn to someone else."

I managed a smile. "See you in a few weeks, puhon."

"Puhon," they replied.

I walked over to Leo. "What does puhon mean?" He asked.

"It means god-willing or hopefully in Bisaya," I said.

"Bisaya?"

"It's a general term for the dialects in the Visayas region in the Philippines."

We boarded the ship and waved goodbye. Leo manned the controls and a few moments later, we were soaring into the clouds. Lights from Camp Half-Blood glittered below us. I took time to appreciate this view. It's not everyday you get to see the camp from up above, especially when Zeus keeps on threatening you that he'll blast you off the sky. Good thing we had his son on board.

I backed away from the railing and went to the rest of the group.

"Alright," I said. "Quick stop to Brooklyn, then off to... where was this camp again, Jason?"

"Camp Jupiter," Jason said, "by Mount Diablo."

"Remind me again why we need to make the stop to Brooklyn?" Piper asked.

Annabeth and I shared a look. "I think they need to know. I think we'll still be safe."

I nodded. Gods, I haven't even told Leo.

"What do we need to know?" Leo asked.

I inhaled sharply. "Well," I said. "Roman gods exist right?" They nodded.

"Egyptian gods exist, too." They looked at me with dumbfounded expressions.

"The House of Life," I continued, "is a safe haven for magicians who practice Egyptian magic to protect the mortal world from evil Egyptian stuff. Only descendants of Egyptian kings—blood of the pharaohs, as they call it—are able to practice magic. It's kind of like the Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter version for Egyptians. Unlike those camps, however, the House of Life is divided into Nomes spread all over the world. The First Nome is the largest. It's our headquarters located in Cairo. Anyway, while you three were on your quest to free Hera, this evil magician, Setne, mentioned he was working with Gaea. He's really dangerous. He's evaded capture for eons since ancient times. So we'll need back up in case we run into him."
