"Are you comfortable in this room? Or do you prefer the bigger one?" His Mom asked .

"Okay na ito, Tita. Masyado na nga pong malaki e." I humbly said. Because it was true. This room looks expensive but she insisted that she'll take care about everything.

"Your parents and Ice is just outside. I got the best doctors for you. All you need to do is to be strong and pray. Think of everyone, everything that awaits you outside. I know your a brave girl, that's how Ice describes you everytime he is telling me things about what happened between the two of you."

I smiled at her and I felt a tear escaped from my eyes.

"I will.

She left because she has something to do also. I was left with my parents because Ice went somewhere.

My Mom's been holding my hands and keep talking to me the whole time while Daddy remains silent beside her. Actually I rarely saw him stare at me, since I got hospitalized.

"Dad, okay ka lang po?"

"Oo naman, huwag mong alalahin ang daddy anak." He was aloof. I know he is hurt. I know his vulnerable as my Mom.

Ice went back before lunch. He got things with him that they will be needing while they wait for my operation later.

"Hey, saan ka nanggaling?" I asked him.

"I got something for you."

He went to me with a box in his hand. A smile formed in his lips when he saw my curious face.

"Uy, babe. Ano yan ha?"

"Close your eyes."

Im excited about the thing in the box so I quickly closed my eyes. I felt his hands doing something on my wrist but that doesnt end there because I felt something he slid on my finger.

"Open it now." I opened my eyes and I slowly raised my hands. "Did you like it"

"I dont." I paused to teased him and its effective. I chuckled when his happy faced turned into disappointed one. "I dont like it because I love it, babe. I love you."

"I love you, always."

"Look, our rings matched."

"Silly. Ofcourse, its a couple ring babe."

And that makes us both laughed. I saw Mom and Dad was happy to see me laugh with him. They are sitting on the sofa in front of a flat screen television.

"Babe." Tawag niya sa pansin ko gamit anh mahinang boses.

"Hmmm?"

"What is the first thing you wanted to do when you recover from the operation?"

I am stunned a bit.

"That's too early to think of, babe."

"No its not." He whispered but enough for me to hear it. "Babe, we got this right? You'll be strong for us, right? Babe I cant see my future without you. That's just a tumor, your a brave girl. Fight that thing, promise me." He's crying, again. "Im sorry, Im crying again, they just dont stop for petes sake."

"I love you. Dont cry na, I'm still here." He was about to hug me whem dad cleared his throat louder than normal. Ice apologetically smiled at them. Mom just nodded and Daddy, as what I have expected, he jokely glared at us.

The day went smoothly until a nurse went to my hospital room and said an announcement.

"Mr and Mrs Viernes, Its time for your daughters preparation for the operation."

Everyone's smiles are now gone.

"Anak, kunin mo to." Bago ako ilagay sa stretcher at mat inabot si Mama saakin, isang rosaryo. "Anak, mahal na mahal ka namin ng papa mo. Tandaan mo yan."

My eyes went to him.

'I love you, babe. I'll wait for you."

They are with me until outside the operation room. The atmosphere inside that room alone can give me the chills. I started to feel uncomfortable and scared.

There are already three doctors inside the room when I came up with an idea.

"Excuse me." Tawag pansin mo sa Nurse.

"Do you happen to have a pen and paper with you?"

"I do have a pen, but not a paper. Uh, if you have some message or something to relay with them.." pertaining to my parents and him outside. " I dont mind if you'll use my phone. I'll asure you, I'll let them check it for you."

"Really?"

She nodded.

I heard that each and everyone in the room are ready already but I asked for a few minutes. I went to the phone's notes and wrote everything.

"If the operation is succesful, dont bother to show this to them. I'll tell them everything I wrote here, instead. But,..." My voice cracked upon remembering that I only got a small chance to live. "...if something bad happens, please, show this to them. That will be my last favor in this world if ever."

She smiled weakly at me and nodded.

"Thank you so much."

I closed my eyes and suddenly, vivid scenariois came rushing in my mind. It was the happy moment with my family, friends and with him.

Before Its too late. I thanked the heavens from above for letting me know amazing people. I gave thanks for making my life beautiful and blessed.

Father, I hope for your guidance. Ikaw na po ang bahala saakin. I held harder on the rosary in my hand.

His Image was the last thing I saw before I was drowned with darkness.
