Raven stood there amongst the black, tears streaming down his face. Roman reached out only for his father to appear out of the black and wrap an arm around his love. He froze like ice seeing that smirk as Virgil smiled sadly. Roman called out to him. He held his hands out desperate for Virgil to grab hold so that he could pull him to safety but before the shifter could Klaus yanked him back into him gripping his neck tightly as Virgil cried. Roman tensed, rage filling his blood as the man gripped Virgil so tightly bruises began to form.

'Pathetic.' He called out his voice dripping with toxicity. He laughed at them both before whispering something into Virgil's ears causing him to crumble. Virgil was in the grips of an attack before Roman could ever hope to help. As Roman tried to run to him Klaus held him back, his icy cold laugh filling the air. 'You would have made a brilliant Villian. Yet you had to go and be the hero. I thought I raised you smarter than that.' Roman whipped around finding nothing but air as that sick laughter drowned him endlessly. 'Even worse, you fell for someone so... pathetic." He spun back around to see his father behind Virgil again, kicking his love forward and making Roman growl. 'Will you be able to protect him? Or will you fail like always?'

'I won't fail!' Roman yelled out, hands clenched to his sides as he teared up. 'I'm a hero.'

'You're a disgrace.' Klaus replied heartlessly as he smirked. 'I raised you to be strong. To take what you want and to bend people to your will yet... you ignore everything I taught you.'

'I am not you.' Roman whimpered as he shook his head, the unending voices of every lesson he had running rampant in his mind. 'I'M NOT YOU!'

'No? Well, maybe I'll just take him then?' Roman froze, his blood turning to ice as he looked up to see Klaus holding Virgil by the back of his neck. The broken pitiful look in his love broke his heart to pieces.

'No. No. Not him. NOT HIM!' Roman gripped his hair unable to move or fight against him. All he could do was plead and even then it did nothing. 'Not him. Please not him!'

'You're the one that decided to be a hero, Roman. You're the one that turned your back on me.'

'ME! YOU LEFT US!' Roman roared as he stepped forward so full of rage. 'YOU LEFT US, FATHER!'

'Maybe, but you made your choice. This is the consequence.' Roman broke the second his father teleported out with Virgil in hand leaving him alone in the inky black. Images and fragments of things to come played out in his fraying mind. He couldn't cope. He couldn't breathe. He was drowning in it all. Drowning in his visions. Drowning in his foresight. He couldn't take it. His mind latched on to one vision of Virgil losing himself into the grips of an episode and everything broke down seeing his Father standing there behind him with a smirk.

"VIRGIL!" Roman bolted up yet again from the very nightmare that's plagued him for nights now. His foresight was screaming at him and it broke him to bits. "Shit. No... No. No. No." A hand went to his shoulder as he curled into himself. He just cried silently. He didn't even try to calm down. He was breaking apart. He couldn't lose Virgil. He couldn't lose him and yet his foresight was constantly telling him something was going to happen. His father and Virgil's paths are going to cross.

"Roman? Roman, hun... please breathe." Virgil tried to whisper softly to his love but Roman made no indication that he could hear him. He sighed as he put himself beside Roman and watched him with a sad smile. "Roman, can you hear me?" Roman frowned feeling the bed move. He tensed up as he looked over not quite in his right mind to remember exactly where he was. However, when he glanced over to see Virgil sitting beside him he freaked. He threw himself into Virgil's arms, who caught him easily, and just cried. "Hun, are you ok?"

"Can't... Can't hear..." Roman mumbled under his breath as he just held Virgil tighter. "To upset... powers are..." Virgil just sighed as he nodded. Virgil could understand. He's seen it enough to know when Roman got too upset he lost control of his powers. He was actually surprised nothing exploded when he woke up yelling. Virgil just simply held him and waited for him to calm down. Eventually, Roman began to quiet down as he took one final deep breath and finally got everything back under control. He gently pushed himself away and looked around cautiously before rubbing his ears slightly.

"Are you good?" Roman's eyes lit up as he turned back to Virgil and nodded.

"Yeah. Everything good now." Roman sighed as turned a bit so he could lay back into Virgil's lap. "I'm sorry if I worried you. I've just... I've been having bad dreams."

"I know. I'm sorry I can't just take them away..." Roman quickly shook his head making Virgil frown. "What are they?"

"Visions... From my foresight. It just keeps showing me the same thing over and over and I..." Roman shivered as Virgil leaned into him gently. "It times like this I wish I either could change them... or could interpret them better so I knew what was exactly going to happen."

"Something happens to me?" Roman flinched as Vigril sighed seeing the tears starting to build up in Roman's eyes again. "Is there anything I can do to try and make you feel... better about it all?"

"There's nothing we can do. It's going to happen regardless of the steps we take. I have learned not to try and fight it. That only makes it faster." Virgil's eyes darkened hearing how Roman's voice shook. "I just... You have to promise me if you EVER see my father..." Virgil's eyes widened as Roman looked up at him with such desperation. "You will focus only on doing what you have to to survive and come back to me."

"Your father is in prison, Roman. How exactly am I going to..." Roman's phone rang and both their hearts completely crashed. They both looked over to see the caller id was Logan and the whole day seemed to end right then and there.

"You were saying?"
