"Holy shit." Virgil flinched slightly as he was led into this abandoned building to find both Connie and Manic standing there in shock. Manic's eyes were wide as he pointed over at him in awed confusion. "You actually managed to get Raven?"

"Yes well... He has something to lose."

"Touch him, and I'll blow your damn brain up from the inside of your skull." Virgil hissed ragefully as Klaus just laughed and sauntered away. Manic frowned as Raven shot him a very sad look. "He threatened that girl."

"He what?" The way Manic tensed up was clear as day as Virgil nodded.

"The one you saved... he threatened to bring her and her brother into this if I didn't join." Connie was quick to pull Manic in seeing the strain in the man. "What was I supposed to do?"

"Oh enough, Shifter." Klaus snapped with a light laugh making Virgil jump. "We both know the real reason you agreed was because you and my son are..."

"What I get to in my life is none of your concern." Virgil yelled back as he allowed himself to shift back into himself. He had to conserve his strength as much as possible. However, the second he did Manic's eyes seemed to light up. "That hero should have strung you up for the world to see."

"Vir..." Manic quickly covered his mouth to stop himself from accidentally outing the shifter, not that it would have mattered as Klaus burst into laughter so loud it drowned him out.

"Oh, my boy no... There was no hero." Everyone froze up at that. Klaus just smiled wickedly as he turned to see them all just standing there. "There was no hero until after everything was already settled. No, it was my son who arrested me." Virgil's eyes shot wide as he stumbled back in surprise. Manic just sighed as he let Connie help to calm him down. "Roman arrested me. Can you believe that? Roman works for the police."

"Wait..." Virgil fumbled to try and find his words as Klaus's eyes narrowed challengingly. "I don't... I don't understand."

"My son works for the police and arrested me. What else is there for you to understand?" Virgil blinked as his mind tried to work through everything in his head. Everything he already knew about Roman and then some. He was drawing conclusions he didn't want to believe but it just fit too perfectly for him not to see it. "Just think... If he wanted to Roman could very well arrest you whenever he feels like it. How do you know he actually cares and isn't trying to use your relationship to further his career?"

"You really think your smooth words are going to work on me?" Virgil smirked as he shifted into Roman just to laugh. Klaus tensed seeing how easy it was for Virgil to take that form and even Manic jumped at the suddenness of seeing Roman right there. "I know Roman. You say you do but... You only know the boy... the trauma. I know the man he became in spite of you. So while you stand there and use him to control me... Just know your words won't do shit because, at the end of the day, I know how he feels." Virgil's smile grew wicked as he let the gravity around them shift out and Klaus grunted silently in surprise. "You can't fool me." Virgil shifted back to himself as he stormed his way over to the Villain shocking the other two over the shifters bravery. "I am only here to keep you from hurting him more. The second you give me any indication that it doesn't matter and I drain you of all your power and leave writhing outside the local station in nothing but your briefs."

"Oh damn... Raven with the threats." Manic giggled as Virgil just rolled his eyes. "I especially liked the brain exploding one."

"Don't test me manic. I have a half a mind to twist you into a pretzel." Manic flinched slightly as Virgil turned his glare to him. "You're the one that helped him escape... weren't you?"

"It's not what you..."

"Can it, Magpie." Virgil growled as he looked the two villains over with a scowl. "We are not partners. We are certainly not friends. And if I feel either of you are a threat to myself or those I am protecting I will use your own blood to burn you inch by in from inside out. Do not test me." And with that Virgil shifted into a ghost and turned invisible as he ran off further into the building that's become his prison for god knows how long. It wasn't the first time he's been trapped like this. It's just the first time he had someone to worry about while there.

"He's gone." Roman muttered half-consciously as he sat down on the couch beside Logan and Patton. "Virgil. He's gone."

"Hey now, Kiddo. I'm sure Virgil is fine..."

"No. I don't mean..." Roman took a deep breath as he looked up to see his two friends staring at him with equal concern. "I didn't mean that he was hurt. I meant my father has him."

"How do you know?" Roman held his phone out showing the text that only read 'vision' and the two other heroes tensed. "He sent this to me just now. Guys... I don't know what Klaus has planned but... We have to get Virgil back."

"I know you're worried and we will... just..." Roman shook his head cutting Logan off as he tossed his phone onto the table.

"You don't understand. My father Headhunter... A Supervillain. If the police see Virgil with him that's it. He'll never EVER be able to live a normal life again." Logan frowned as Patton quirked a brow in confusion. "We have to get him back. I can't lose him"

"We will get him back, Roman." Patton whispered softly hoping to help calm his friend. "We will. The three of us... We will save him."

"How are we supposed to do that?" Roman whined as he tried desperately to breathe through the hand he had pressed into his face. "Virgil's strong enough to fight as all off on his own and now with my father there..."

"We just have to try..."

"I can't fight him." Roman snapped up wide-eyed at the realization that filled his head. "I can't fight him. I can't. I literally can't. The most I can do is just defend. If I even so much as hit him, it's going to break me." Patton's eyes darkened as Roman started to cry more. "I can't do it. Shit. Shit. Shit. Virgil won't even know it's me. He'll just fight like he'd normally do and I can't do anything back. Fuck, Klaus is going to realize something us and use that against us."

"Does he have any weaknesses?" Logan asked softly making Roman pale with a very obvious growl.

"No." The two jumped slightly at how forceful Roman was about it. "We are not using that against him. I don't care what we have to do. We are not doing that."

"Roman..."

"I SAID NO LOGAN!" Roman snapped making the cup on the coffee table in front of him explode and spill the coffee. Roman sighed as he tried to relax. "I'm sorry... about the cup. It's just... Virgil trusted me with that. If you knew what I did you'd understand why we can't use it. We can't ok... so please... just think of something else."
