"Remember, Shifter..." Klaus hissed softly in Virgil's ear as they watched Rez stalk closer. "If you fail that's it. The police and heroes have you... and I'll have nothing standing in my way of getting my children."

"They aren't your children." Was all Virgil said as he pushed himself away from Klaus with this numb expression. To be totally honest, his nerves with eating away at him. With the heroes here and the station right there his panic would not let go. He was tense and breaking. Virgil glanced around to see Manic causing his usual destruction with Connie backing him up to protect him. Angel and Polarity rushed in to fight them as Klaus walked back into this cloud of black smoke suddenly vanishing from sight. Asshole... Just making everyone else do his dirty work so he never has to take the risk.

"You ok?" Virgil stopped short the second he managed to meet up with Rez. Roman smiled softly as he tried to look him over for any apparent injuries. "This isn't exactly your scene."

"Like you know anything about me." Rez jumped back as Virgil wasted no time in lashing out. It really was like a dance if you thought about it. Every punch was dodged... Every kick... Every single attempt was avoided with such grace. Virgil groaned loudly as he struck with his palm only for Roman to grab his wrist and twist them both just right so he could pull Virgil into him. 

"I do know you, Raven. I know you well." Virgil's eyes narrowed, his anxiety getting worse. "You don't have to fight me."

"I don't want to." Virgil whispered softly as his heart started to race bad. Tears started to build up making Roman tense in concern. "I don't have a choice." Virgil shifted turning into a ghost as he suddenly vanished making Roman freak.

"RAVEN!" Rez's voice boomed through the air as he glanced around noticing how Manic shot him this look before jumping back into the fight with Logan. "Rav-..." Roman spun around just in time to see Virgil, in the form of manic, behind him as he got punched in the gut. "Shit."

"REZ!" Patton cried out as Roman fell to his knees only to jump back as Connie attacked him making him have to focus on his own fight. Virgil frowned as he pulled Roman's hair back to make him look at him as he shifted into Polarity making Roman tense up. 

"I'm sorry. I really don't have a choice." Roman just smiled softly with tears in his own eyes making Virgil falter. 

"I know." Virgil tried to pull himself out of his thought as he those green eyes just stared into him. "Trust me... I know."

"I-..." Virgil tensed up bad and Roman noticed right away how his eyes started to rapidly shift. "I-I really didn't want th-this."

"I know, Raven." Virgil groaned as he let a jolt of electricity escape him making Roman cry out in pain. The poor shifter jumped back as Roman crashed to his hands and knees, slumping in exhaustion but refusing to fall completely. 

"Damn it, Rez!" Logan screamed out as he teleported suddenly startling Manic who had been fighting him. He appeared right behind Connie firing electricity at him as the villain put up a shield only for Logan to then teleport him and Patton far enough away to regroup.

"Rez!" Patton whined as he went to go try and save Roman only for Connie and Manic to block their path again. "What are you two even doing?!"

"Last I checked you robbed places... not this." Logan added as the two villains just shrugged with a sad smile.

"We don't have a choice." Janus said with a soft lull as Remus just giggled.

"None of us do." Remus added before the two lashed out again to resume their fight.

Virgil was a mess. He stumbled back seeing how the hero before him was panting. He did it now. He fucked up. He had somehow managed to form a partnership with Rez and now he was fighting him again. Rez was going to hate him again. There was no going back after this. Tears spilled from his eyes as his panic began to take over. His hair started to shift colors as he looked around to see the panic reciprocated in any standbys still unfortunately caught in the mess. Virgil's eyes met with the station to see the police glaring through the window protecting the innocents they had managed to quickly round up in there and Virgil fell. Oh, he fell... Fell right into the hands of his trigger like nothing he had ever expected.
