*Discontinued* Shifter

Virgil didn't know why he had done it. He trusted the trio to he ok. To be completely honest he was just trying out his new forms. He wanted to know what it would be like. He made it look nearly identical to himself save for lavender eyes and purple streaks in his silver hair. His Kaine form anyway... The Dark prince one was more closely similar to Roman but different all the same. Darker auburn hair and bright red eyes. 

He was testing out the prince's power of portals when this loud explosion happened further into town. Virgil's heart dropped as he ran out of the building only to see all the people around him scattering. He quickly shifted into Rez spotting a car about to fly into some people. He held his hands up condensing the gravity around them while also lessening it around the car to catch it before it could crush them.

People quickly pulled the civilians out of danger as Virgil gently set to the car down, shifting in his Kaine form with a panicked expression. Something was wrong. Something was very wrong, but he couldn't do anything until he knew the people around here were safe. He growled as he jumped in summoning a shield just as another explosion ripped through the town sending debris flying. He needed to hurry up and get to the group.

"Who..." Virgil's eyes narrowed as he grunted over the strain of his shields. He looked back to see this woman watching him with terrified eyes. "Who are you?"

"Shade." Virgil groaned as he forced his shield to drop, shifting into his prince form before portaling the two of them to safety. "The names shade."

"You're a shifter." Virgil nodded as he looked back to see fire and he tensed with immense anxiety. "You're... a hero?"

"Well, I should hope so." Virgil teased as the girl slightly relaxed. "Think you can help get the rest to safety. I have to figure out what's going on."

"Go ahead. The explosions sounded like they were coming from the main square." Virgil's eyes darkened as he nodded and portalled away again. He popped through in the park, now completely empty thanks to the fight happening just outside of it. The second he spotted Connie he understood. This was another shit show Klaus started.

"Polarity!" Virgil ran in yelling making Logan falter only for Virgil to save him by sending a blast of shadows into the illusion Connie had sent after him breaking it apart. "What the hell is going on?"

"Shade?" Virgil nodded as he tried to take in the whole fight but one thing caught his attention real fast. 

"Where's Rez?" 

"Manic led him off." Patton called over as Virgil created a portal to pull the hero away from the illusions surrounding him. "They ran further into town."

"Towards the main square." Logan finished making Virgil's heart drop.

"The explosions... the car." Logan frowned in confusion as Virgil tensed up badly. "You think you two can handle Connie on your own. Something tells me Manic isn't working on his own." The way Janus's eyes widened only confirmed Virgil's thoughts as he snapped. "Shit. Rez... I'm sorry. I..."

"Go find him. We've got this." Virgil nodded as he took off running. Janus tried to stop him with some illusions but Virgil just portalled away before anything could stop him. He portalled repeatedly, using it to speed himself up since he didn't know where exactly Roman was. 

"MANIC!" Virgil froze up the second he heard Roman's voice and his eyes shot wide. He ran in the direction he heard it only... When he finally got there he froze dead in his tracks. Manic... Remus stood there completely in shock as Roman fell to his knees clutching his side, while Klaus tossed a bloody knife to the ground. 

"Roman..." Virgil whispered so quietly, he was sure no one could hear him but Roman looked up. Their eyes met and Virgil could see the second his love broke down. "RESONANT!" The two villains looked over as Virgil cried out. "Rez!" Remus tensed and stepped back not happy at all about the turn of events but Klaus just smirked as he went to pull another dagger from his belt. A dagger Roman saw... 

"NO!" Roman screamed out, terror filling his blood as the soundwaves burst out around him. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Everyone went flying as Roman continued to scream. His pure panic over something happening to Virgil making the very ground around them crack and crumble. 

"Rez!" Virgil groaned as he struggled to his feet fighting against the pressure and blasts Roman was inadvertently creating. Roman's emotions had taken over. His panic was too much. All he knew was he was injured. He couldn't get up and now Virgil was there. He couldn't let his love get hurt. He wouldn't let that happen. He was terrified something would happen. He couldn't calm down. "REZ!" Virgil tried to call out to him as he watched Manic run off, making Klause angry. The supervillain took one look at Virgil before doing the same knowing he couldn't afford to continue. He had already gotten one hero after all. "Rez... baby, breathe." Virgil slipped to his knees as he quickly pulled Roman into his arms. "Rez, breathe."

"Don't touch him. Don't touch him." Virgil's heart broke at the muttered whispered Roman was making. "Fuck..." Roman cried out as Virgil moved him making the younger freeze in panic. "It hurts."

"Shit. Ro..." Virgil gently brushed his fingers against the wound making Roman's powers flair in response. "Ro, no... Stop. You're going to hurt yourself more. Please calm down. They're gone." Roman's eyes fluttered as Virgil brushed his hair back. "Manic... Klaus... They're gone. They ran. It's just us."

"Just... Just us?" Virgil nodded as Roman finally opened his eyes completely meeting Virgil's worried gaze. "You're safe? We... We're safe?"

"You're hurt." Virgil went to shift into his Kaine form only for Roman to fall into him shocking him out of consideration. "Rez!"

"Can't... Can't control... Too much." Roman shuddered and Virgil's eyes shot wide feeling the way the air shifted wildly around them. "It's too much."

"Just hold on, Love. I'll get you home." Virgil held him tight as Roman cried badly into him. He portalled them both back home just Roman's power surged around them breaking several things around the room. The poor hero crashed into the bed shivering like mad as the wound just kept getting worse. Virgil didn't know what he was going to do. He couldn't heal it if Roman's powers just messed it up again. His own powers were hurting him. "Ro?" Roman whimpered as he pretty much passed out scaring Virgil completely. "Shit, we need Logan."
