Chapter 12

A week later

Being in Calgary has been a challenge for me. Not only do I have to do new tasks but I'm also nervous about Ryan's attitude. He did ask me how my work has been going but I felt like he was in a hurry to get off the phone lately, always coming up with excuses to avoid getting on camera with me. My therapist reminded me that he's probably still grieving the loss of our baby but I wish he would open up to me.

Mr. Samuels, the president of the company, asked me to hire a supervisor for my team knowing I have to go back and forth to Montreal, he wants to give me new tasks and he thinks the supervisor could be sort of an assistant for me. I've never had to hire someone before and it's making me nervous. My friends were so proud of me and the progress I've done professionally when I told them about it.

I go over some candidates selecting three for interviews before getting some questions ready to ask them. I then call each of them to set a time. Two men and a woman will be interviewed soon.

I've been feeling better, no more cramps and the bleeding stopped before I flew here. But mentally I'm still dealing with a lot of questioning and fears. My body has been craving Ryan, thinking about him sends a wave of heat down my inner thighs. Although I've never been able to satisfy myself on my own which always leaves me irritated.

-Hey babe, my body is doing better! What are you doing ;)

I text him when I get to the hotel where I'm staying. It always feels so lonely walking in here alone every day, it's even worse than being home alone. I'm too lazy to go out and get food so I simply order room service while I wait for a reply.

I had time to eat and go over a few cases I'm handling at work before he replies.

At least he said he loves me but I was hoping he'd get on camera and help me take care of the aching down there. I sigh and go to bed crying myself to sleep.
