Chapter 17 : Come back home.

It's time to go back to Korea. Those ten days went by so fast. But they've changed the seven of us a little bit, I think. We realize that we are living a life that is totally out of step with other young people our age. We get this feeling that we can't do anything except sing and dance. I also realize that I don't know anything about the world around me. As Hoseok pointed out, during tours, we go from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the concert hall. That's all. We don't visit anything. We don't meet anyone.

I wonder about our life. Is that really what I want ? I don't know. I'm so inexperienced. Once again, I feel helpless. But, at the end, despite little problems, this trip brought us a lot closer. We are not just a pro team, we are very close friends, a family. I know I need them.

We're happy to go back home anyway. Video messages from Nam Joon, manager, moved us a lot and we can't wait to see them again. Jin is particularly impatient. He doesn't like travel abroad. He wants to get back to his daily routine, ... and to Nam Joon.

It's his birthday when we get back to Seoul. He's 21. On the plane, Yoongi asked Jin what they could cook together for Nam Joon, but Jin said he was tired and didn't want to take care of our leader's birthday. Yoongi answered "okay, no problem," but I saw he was surprised.

-Anyway, you don't have to take care of all the birthdays, Jin.

-Thank you, Jin replied, turning his head towards the window.

-You'd tell me if something bothered you, wouldn't you ?

-Yes, Yoongi. Don't worry. I'm just tired.

He answers without looking at him. I'm staring at Jin. I can feel his pain. He ends up looking at me and his eyes are sad. No, Jin's not well. And he doesn't talk about it. I'm sick of it.

Finally, Hoseok and Yoongi prepare for Joonie's birthday. As usual, Jimin, Tae and I take care of the decorations and make a beautiful table. Jin stays to read in his room. Nam Joon is busy with the producers. They're working on our next album. We paid to buy him a nice watch. He loves them very much and thanks us our gift.

We're having a good time. Jimin keeps teasing me, tickling me, pinching my thigh, laughing while leaning on me. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable because others can't not notice how he sticks to me. But after a while, I don't care. I just enjoy what he's willing to give me. Hoping he gives me more soon. Tae does not seem to be jealous. It reassures me that they are not in love with each other. I still wonder if he realizes that Jimin is openly flirting with me. Tae is so ingenuous.

However, we don't have much time to have fun as we're working on our next album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life : Young Forever. It will be out on May 2. Recordings are not finished and we are still working on the choreographies. We also rehearse for Mama's next december. Our days are endless again and again. We often go to bed in the middle of the night, only to get up in the early morning. Fortunately we were able to rest a little during our trip to Europe.

We celebrate Jimin's 20th birthday one night in the dance hall. Jin and Hoseok ordered a cake that arrives during the late break. We're all sweaty and tired, but Jimin's happy, so am I. We joke for a moment, we eat a piece of cake and are back for several hours of training.

I look at Jimin. Has he changed now that he's 20 ? In reality, he is becoming more and more handsome, quite simply. I follow his movements in the mirror. His passion for dance illuminates his sweet face. His little cheeks are almost gone. The line of his jaw is sharper. His body ripples with lightness. His laughter causes me blows to the heart. He is so handsome and so ... Sexy.
