DESTINY'S PLAY

FAMILY TIME

          Mohan cleared his throat and said "Welcome to the family Maha" making everyone come out of their shock. Devayani laughed and hugged Maha and Varun hugged Abhi.

          After Abhi's shocking news the boys were sitting in the lawn and the women were in the kitchen preparing dinner. Devayani was cooking meat while Maha was cooking desert.

          "I didn't even know how he fell in love after his childhood but all thanks to you I can be peaceful for the rest of my life knowing you'll take care of him" Devayani said.

           "Childhood? Why? What happened to him?" Maha asked switching off the stove.

            "Abhi isn't our child. He's one of the kids in the orphanage where I and my husband work. We adopted him later but he never depended on us. He wanted to be independent and make his own life for him" Devayani said.

             "Have you known about his parents?" Maha asked.

             "No..he was just months old when he was left at the orphanage doors" Devayani told.

              "Maa.. I'm so hungry come fast" Varun shouted from living room making them smile.

              Dinner was delicious also filled with fun atmosphere and laughs. After dinner they talked about random things time passing in the lawn under the moon.

              Abhi parked the car in front of Maha's hostel at ten. They got out and she looked at him informing "I'm going to Banglore tomorrow" to which he narrowed his eyes.

              "I'm meeting my family since our family business is there. I'll be back by monday" Maha said observing his face for any change.

              "Oh! Okay. I'll drop you tomorrow. Just text me your travel details" Abhi said with a blank face.

              "Don't stop your work for me. No listen don't interrupt me. You need to reach high in the business world don't you? Then stop wasting time for small things that's my first and last wish to see you in the top position in the society" Maha said.

              "What's wrong with you? Why are talking all thi-.." Before Abhi could complete his sentence Maha said "I Love You" which made his breath stuck in his throat.

               Maha hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek saying "You don't have to reply" and hugged him more tightly breathing in his scent for a few more minutes and pulled back.

               She caressed his face once more before walking back towards the hostel but Abhi pulled her to him and kissed her forehead long and released her.
