Falling Apart

The Truth

"Crystal.." She began to speak," I'm telling you this because I'm your best friend.."

"Hey! I'm her best frie--" Evan tried to speak but Mads interrupted him.

" Not now Evan, you idiot!" She made a face at him.

"Mads, tell me. I hate waiting." I looked at her.

" We..saw a video on snapchat of Keith.." She cleared her throat before finishing, "..and Betty."

"W-w-wait." I waved my hands in the air like crazy. " Keith and Betty?"

No it can't be true. I just asked a Keith and..and--no it can't be.

" It's true..." After a moment of staring at me she finally spoke.

"But-but I asked Keith an-and--" I tried to speak but she stopped me.

"And Keith lied." She said.

I had tears in my eyes because I knew they wouldn't lie about something like this. They always look out for me and if they said so..it's true.

But I need to see for myself,"Can I see the snapchat?"

"Are you sur--"

"Just show me the snapchat!" I yelled with tears in my eyes.

Mads was gonna ask me if I was sure but I need to see for myself. I just have to see.

She shows me the snapchat and I saw it with both of my eyes.

" Guys, if you're messing with me, it's not even funny."

"We're not." They both said as if practiced.

"Oh my--oh my--" I start to pace around with tears in my eyes. " I loved him and he cheated!"

I really did love him and this, this killed me.

"How long has it been going on?"

" I don't know, but we're here for you." Mads says and Evan nods.

I wipe my tears and stand there without blinking. Evan noticed, Mads did, too, and Evan walked up to me to hug me but I pushed him away.

" Crystal.." He says trying to hug me again.

" Leave me alone!" I push him away. " You guys knew didn't you?"

"We--" He tries to explain but I interrupt.

"And you didn't tell me!"

" Crystal we were--"

"No! No, just leave me alone!" I cried.

Evan hugs me tight and even though I fight him to leave me alone, he doesn't let go. Eventually, I gave up trying to fight him and just hugged him back.

Mads hugged the both of us as well.

Soon after I finally calmed down, I realize how I reacted to my best friends. It wasn't their fault but I was rude to them.

" Guys?" I begin to speak.

" Mmm?" They both said.

"I'm sorry."

Evan hugs me tighter and Mads says,"It's okay. We understand."

"I love you guys." I said.

" We love you, too!" Evan smiles letting go off me.

" I still can't believe it." I look down.

" I'm sorry." Mads says.

" He never deserved you anyways." Evan said looking away.

"Yeah, he was a jerk and he's gonna pay." Mads agrees.

"How about we beat him up with sticks, cut his legs and make him hold it, then fry his head, boil it, fry it again, then we cut his throat, and cut his heart and make him eat it, and--!" Evan was getting out of control.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Evan, calm down!" Mads shakes him.

Watching the both of them makes me laugh. And I just start laughing really hard.

They both look at me and smile.

I keep laughing and it turns into cries.

" Oh God!" I said wiping my tears.

Catching my breath, I said,  " I'm gonna make him pay. I have a date with him tonight and I know exactly what I'm going to do. "
