Chapter sixty two

Ashton's pov

I was dreading today as soon as I woke up, usually with this situation with Polly, I just tried to ignore it as much as I could or pretend I couldn't hear the little comments or looks she would give but today having to confront her, it doesn't rest well within me, I can't back out now, I told Michael I would, I don't want to let him down.

The four of us were currently walking to class, my stomach was in knots, I used to love going to class but now it was something I dreaded, Michael had his arm around me in a protective manner "I wonder if Polly is going to be strange today, I swear she gets more weird every day" Luke said and scoffed while gently swaying his hand that was entwined with Calum's "pft probably" I muttered "yeah I've noticed that" Calum said "the duck knows everything, fuck off ya weirdo" Luke mocked "yeah that was rather strange.." Calum said "very strange" Luke replied, my body tensed up just of the mention of her, Michael noticed and looked at me with a gentle reasurring smile "don't worry, it'll be okay" he whispered into my ear "yeah..yeah.." I said with a slight smile trying to convince myself he was right, Michael was always right.

We got into class and sat in our seats "okay I'm gonna pair you guys up for this next assignment" Polly said and got an upside down top hat off her desk "I put all your names on a piece of paper in the hat. Pick out someone's name and they will be your partner for the day" blah blah blah Polly, just shut the fuck up, her voice was so fucking annoying, well at least we all had good partners, luckily Luke and I was paired up together and Michael and Calum were paired up together. Luke looked at me and grinned "so cool bro!!" he said our amusing inside joke "so cool bro" I said and chuckled "ayeee!" Calum said and looked at Michael "aye CalPal!" "um..MikePike!" well..he gets points for trying bless him "so. If you'd all like to sit next to each other and discuss your ideas!" Polly said and sat back down at her desk, Luke and Michael switched seats, both of us pairs involving ourselves into conversation "wait ideas for what? she didn't say what we are meant to be doing" I said with confusion "pfft fuck knows. She's really losing it lately. Listen about what happened..I wouldn't let it get to you mate" I sighed "yeah she is..I don't know bro, it's easier said than done..I need to talk to her about it, it's fucking awkward as hell" I admitted "I can imagine.. just let me know if you want any help okay? I'll help you through this" Luke said and smiled, I really appreciated the boys being so understanding and supportive about the situation "thanks Luke..I appreciate it..how you been doing lately?" "never felt so great. He's amazing" Luke said and glanced over to Calum with love in his eyes who was talking to Michael "that's so cute, you guys are adorable together" I said with a smile "nawhhhh so are you two! the cutest!" Luke said and giggled, before any conversation could be continued any further, the sound of munching was loudly heard in the classroom, coming from Polly's direction, the class looked at her in sync like 'what the fuck' "who in this class likes nuts? because I like nuts.." she said and then directly stared at me whilst licking her stupid nuts "a lot.." she continued to say, oh for fucks sake, I felt so uncomfortable, even more than I usually did around her, she was greeted with silence from the whole class, what the actual fuck is wrong with her? "I like to..take them in my mouth like this.. and" she said and began shoving more nuts in her mouth "who here likes nuts?" she asked again "um.." Luke mumbled "they're okay" Calum said with a shrug, I don't think he knew properly what she was doing but I wish I didn't, I was jealous of Calum's innocence right now "can you just stop talking about nuts." Michael said and glared at her "why? they're good for you!" she said and swallowed the nuts, I wish she choked "um..can we just get on with our work please" Luke said, for fucks sake, I have had enough "oh my god, just shut the fuck up about nuts!" I yelled, the room fell into an awkward and shocked atmosphere from my outburst, Polly looked at me like 😶 "right. All of you are dismissed..except for you Ashton. Stay behind, I need to talk to you." she said, bloody brilliant, annoyance and nerves were building up immensely "what? why? he didn't do anything" Calum said looking confused "we all swear in here" Luke defended me "whatever" I muttered and scoffed "that's not fair! bullshit, fuck, crap, cunt. Looks like you'll have to keep me behind too" Michael said getting angry "excuse me?! how dare you talk to me like that! get out Michael Clifford!! GEEEEEEET OUT!!" Polly snarled "Jesus!" Calum said and jogged out of the classroom looking frightened "Calum wait! come back!" Luke said and ran after Calum, the rest of the class quickly left because of Polly's disturbing behaviour, Michael gave me one last reassuring comforting look before he left the classroom, making sure he gave one last death glare to Polly before he left the room.
