Chapter thirty eight

Luke's pov

I woke up to a beautiful sight, Calum cuddling me, slowly opening his eyes from our night's slumber "good morning" I mumbled and kissed his forehead "morning..sleep well?" Calum asked and rubbed his eyes "I did, did you?" I asked with a smile "I did too.. you're so warm" Calum said and rolled over to face me, pecking my lips "thanks for being so understanding last night" he added "of course" I said softly and stroked his hair, he was precious "glad we don't have class today" Calum said while snuggling beside me more "me either, what did you want to do today?" I asked "hmm I don't mind..as long as I get to spend it with you" Calum said with a smile, I pecked his lips "I wouldn't want it any other way" I replied. We stayed in a comfortable silence for a little while whilst cuddling before I spoke up again "I wonder what happened with Mike and Ash" I said, I was really curious and I really hope they are okay "yeah..I honestly have no clue what's going on with those two..are they okay?.." Calum asked sounding worried "I hope so..I also hope that it's not going to affect the friendship they have, they were so close and it would be a pity for that to go away" I admitted, getting more concerned the more I thought about it "I was thinking the same thing!" Calum said and stretched his arms before sitting up "I'll make us some coffee" I said and also sat up "sounds good!" Calum said with a smile and there then being a sudden knock at the door, I got up and opened the door, seeing that it was Michael.

I felt bad for making things awkward last night, I needed to talk to him about it "hey sorry about that Mike, you didn't sleep on the sofa did you?" I asked "nah..stayed in Calum's bed. You guys..have a nice night?" Michael asked awkwardly "oh um..yeah I better go..get ready. I'll see you later Luke" Calum said with a smile and jogged out the room and Michael and I walking in the room fully, closing the door behind me "yeah..yeah it was really good, listen Mike, I'm sorry about what I said last night, it sounded better in my head" I admitted, I was just too excited to play Cupid and the alcohol didn't help me in the situation at all either "I understand..you were trying to help mate. I just..was drinking and my head was a mess. I didn't want to expose myself in front of him. How was your night with Calum? what did you boys do?" Michael asked and wiggled his eyebrows which made me chuckle "yeah I get you..we cuddled and watched a movie, did start to get a bit..yknow..steamy but we decided to stop..since we're taking it slow, which I'm perfectly fine with and I want him to know that too yknow?" I said and sat down on Michael's bed, Michael smiled and sat down beside me "awh that's super cute, good idea. I know you're both a pair of attractive boys but you've only been seeing each other for a short amount of time.." "thanks Mike, rushing it is the last thing I want to do. So what happened after Ash followed you?" "well..I just stayed the night because I forgot my keys like an idiot, nothing happened really..I think nothing happened because of how much we were drinking. It's sweet of him really" Michael said and smiled fondly of thinking of Ashton which was a cute sight to see "he didn't? that says a lot about Ashton you know, he must really like you" I said "I..I don't know. He probably doesn't want me to get attached. But I'm not just a physical guy..I like romance" Michael replied and sighed heavily "everyone likes romance mate, it's a beautiful thing. I'm sure Ashton does too..maybe he didn't do anything because he'd rather be romantic with you too" I suggested, hoping that it was the truth "I..I don't know..look I better get ready, I'm gonna be grabbing a coffee with him soon" "alright mate, I'm here if you want to talk about it whenever" I said and gave him a reassuring smile before leaving the room to make coffee for Calum and I, I really hope that the boys will be able to talk through some things and both have a clearer mindset of what's going on, it sounded confusing and it sounded like it hurt for both of them.

Once I had finished making the coffee for Calum and I, I had a chat with Ashton who was waiting for Michael, I gave him a hug and reasurring words but I could still tell he felt nervous, bless him, I really hope that they were going to be okay. I knocked on Calum's door, he opened it straight away "oh hey Luke..awh you are a gem" he said and let me into the room, I passed him his coffee with a smile and we sat down on Michael's bed, he wouldn't mind "anything for you" I said "so..last night was fun.." Calum started to say, he giggled and blushed "I've never stayed in a bed with a boy before..oh god my mum would kill me, but I'm sure she'd be happy at the same time" Calum said and chuckled which made me chuckle too, taking a sip of my coffee "you are the cutest, you make the greatest little spoon ever" I said while looking at him with fondness "well, they were right. Spooning is fun indeed" Calum said and took a sip of his coffee "especially with you" I said and wrapped one of my arms around Calum's waist. Calum looked hesitate for a second before he opened his mouth to speak again "so..what's gonna happen between..us?" he asked "well..I was hoping we could erm..work up to..being.. boyfriends? but only if you want to, I don't want you to think I'm rushing anything" I said nervously, hoping he would want the same thing I did, I would adore for Calum to officially be mine "I'd.. I'd really like that" Calum said and smiled, I smiled back and pecked his lips "I really like you, a lot and I don't want to rush things, just..let me know whenever you want me to cut back okay?" "I don't think I want you to..I.. just..don't want to be too prudish for you..I feel you deserve better" Calum said with his eyes starting to turn glum "hey..don't think about yourself like that, the way you are is perfect and I wouldn't want anyone else. Everything I want is you and only you." I said reassuringly, I really wish he knew how great he was "thanks Luke..I'll try to be more confident, I just..don't want to push you away" "it's okay, I understand, it's new to you. But I will do everything I can to make sure you are comfortable and happy okay?" "you will?" Calum asked and looked into my eyes "I will, I promise" I said, gazing back into his eyes "thanks Luke.." he said, a smile placing onto his lips "of course" I said and placed my lips upon his, loving every second of him kissing me back, right now everything between Calum and I was perfect, I wouldn't want it any other way.
