Chapter three

Michael's pov

Currently there was just three of us at this 'meet and greet' Luke and I and another guy who was yet to say something, I gave him a friendly smile but he seemed pretty shy. I know Luke met one of the others not long ago but I assume it must have been someone else otherwise they would have spoke by now. A few more minutes went by and the doors opened revealing another flatmate, Luke gave him a friendly smile as which he returned, I assume that's the flatmate Luke met earlier, hm I wonder why he was late..granted not majorly but I was still curious.

"So this is all of us right?" Luke asked, eyes scanning across the room "I think so.." the quiet boy said while looking towards Luke "hey everyone!" I said cheerfully and grabbed a cereal bar from the freebies desk, what? I'm hungry. We all sat down and Luke looked back at the quiet boy and smiled "great! I'm Luke" "Hi..I'm.. I'm um.." the quiet boy started to say before freezing up before trying again "my names.." "it's okay mate, we are all new here. Take your time" I said and gave him a reassuring smile. The guy that came in slighter later than the rest of us looked at the quiet boy with a sympathetic look "he's Calum, I'm Ashton" he said, helping the poor boy out. "Well it's great to meet you guys, this is Michael" Luke said and pointed towards me "he swapped with this knobhead I would have been stuck with" he said, finishing his sentence. "What do you mean?" Ashton asked looking rather confused "pffft, just you wait. Tell em Mike" Luke replied. "So Luke's original roommate Chad swapped with me because he didn't want to share a room with a gay guy, even though Luke has a boyfriend. Pathetic much?" I explained, still annoyed from the earlier encounter. "oh right..yeah really pathetic.." Calum mumbled. "So us lot are in the same music class it seems, rad how they put us in the same dorm..well not so much for those two.." I said referring to Chad and Brad who although none of us were roommates with, unfortunately we still shared the same flat as them.

I gazed over at everyone to see the facial expressions they all had, Ashton especially seemed annoyed at what I had just spilled and I don't blame him one bit. "Well let's just hope we don't see them that often, no one would want a go on him so I don't know why he's so worried" Luke said with a chuckle "too right, he was grim" I said and laughed along "yeah..true..I don't get why people feel the need to be homophobic" Calum said and as though it was on staged, the door gets abruptly thrown open and slammed shut, it's that bloody Chad and Brad me and Luke bumped into earlier, turns out they are brothers, lovely. "Oi you! you shagged Christine! she called your name out the fucking dirty bitch! I'm gonna have you!" Chad yelled and started storming up to Ashton who looked completely unfazed by the situation. I stood up "leave him alone." I said, noticing how Calum stayed quiet, watching the whole encounter timidly, Luke was shocked too but spoke up as well "I don't blame her for cheating on you" he shot back and gave the twins a dirty look. Ashton just calmly stood up and got in Chad's face while smirking "gwon then. I dare you." he added "don't because he will knock you out.." the other one said, who I assume is Brad. I was getting sick of these twats, this is the second time I've seen them pick on someone and I'm not standing for it. "Leave him alone dammit!!" I yelled and pushed Chad away from Ashton, resulting in them both getting scared and running off, such pussys. "Yeah, run away you cowards!" Calum said as they continued to run away.

There was silence for a few seconds before anyone said anything, they were probably trying to take in what just happened because I knew I was too. Ashton looked at me and spoke up "thanks..kinda wanted to punch him myself but that's cool" and chuckled "I can't have you getting kicked out on your first day" I said and chuckled myself before continuing "as much as it would've been great to watch" "well if I did, it would have been worth it. He's so funny to fuck around with" Ashton replied, his facial expression changing slightly, realising that could have been taken the wrong way, I decided to ignore the way it was phrased, I didn't want the lad to feel uncomfortable "he's just a dick really" I admitted and started munching on my cereal bar "go get a free cereal bar!" I added, random but changing the subject into more of a light hearted one, it was fucking yummy. "You can say that again, nah I'm good thanks. I've gotta go meet someone actually" "oh right, study sesh?" I asked, curious as to who he could be meeting, in the background I could faintly hear Luke and Calum talking about love life and bonding over having the same sexuality, was pretty sweet to hear. Ashton gave out a chuckle "no, not that. Something a bit more fun than that" I admit, I was confused at first but then I clocked on, he was going off for a shag, another one though? Jesus, but hey I wasn't judging "oh? ohhh right!! well have fun.." "when will you be done? so I know when I can go to the room?" Calum asked "eh won't be that long, doesn't take them long to finish, see you" he replied and left, well..fair enough I guess..
