Chapter fifty seven

Ashton's pov

It's been two weeks now, since Michael and I have been a couple, being with him has made me the have the happiest two weeks of my life. Calum and Luke were still going really strong as a couple too, when they found out the morning after mine and Michael's date that we got together, their reaction was priceless, they were so happy for us and literally jumping with excitement. The twins have mellowed down a bit with their asshole fucked up ways, they were still giving us shit but it was a little easier to deal with right now, I hope they aren't brewing something up, we're all going through enough shit mentally as it is.

It was currently the weekend which I was really glad about, it had been a really long week, Calum was reading a book and Luke and I were watching stupid videos on Instagram together while giggling away at the stupid shit people do. A little while later Michael came into the flat and cheered his way into the living room the rest of us were in "scooooooore guess who got the job! I got it! yeah!" he exclaimed and pumped his fist in the air "you did?? ayeeee nice one Mike!" Luke said "I knew you would!" I said with a smile, I was so proud of him "I'm still waiting to hear back..oh god I hope I get it! what if I messed up in my interview! o-or I didn't make coffee well enough! or made myself look like a fool?" Calum rambled with worry. Last week we all decided to get part time jobs to get an extra bit of money coming in, Michael and Luke applied for a music shop, I used to work in a Starbucks before I moved for uni so I just submitted a transfer store, it got accepted pretty fast, Calum said he would like to work in a coffee shop so he could make cute little designs with the froth so I helped him apply, we all decided it was wise for neither couple to work together, that just ends up into a nightmare. "Chill out mate, I'm sure you'll do fine. If Ash got you the interview, I'm sure he can get you the job" Michael said, Luke put his hand on Calum's knee "I'm sure you'll get it babe, you didn't make a fool out of yourself" he said to his boyfriend, cute as fuck "don't worry Cal, I already put in a good word for you and they said you did great at the interview" I reassured him "I did?" he asked with a grin "of course you did" I said with a smile, I was really proud of him "Luke you heard anything? there was plenty of positions when I asked the manager" Michael said "oh yeah I've got the role" he said casually "surprise" he added with a chuckle "awh that's great! I'm proud of you!" Calum said and kissed Luke's cheek "things are going so well at the moment! I couldn't be happier" Michael said with a smile and sat down on the sofa next to me, holding my hand, I gently stroked his hand, adoring every second of his touch "they really are aren't they? look at us, so cute" Luke said with a smile, he was right, we finally had some normality in our lives after starting at university and it was a relief to say the least.

After a little while of the four of us chatting, Calum's phone rang, from the look on his face, you could tell it was the management from Starbucks, his name was Dan, pretty decent friendly man to be fair "oooh you're about to hear back" Michael said "Jesus I hope it's good news" Calum said and and answered the phone, Luke quickly put it on speaker "hello! is this Calum Hood?" Dan asked "um..yes? hello-?..I mean ummmm speaking" Calum replied awkwardly "I wanted to inform you that I'm glad to tell you, you got the job! you did a great job at the interview and we would love to have you on our team" Dan said cheerfully, I knew he'd get the job! I'm proud of him, especially from how nervous he was before the interview, he nearly didn't even go but I managed to reassure him to take a chance, the four of us smiled at Calum's news, he was the only one that hadn't heard back yet but now the four of us have part time jobs, we were doing well considering the things that was going on "I did? thanks so much! when do I start?" Calum asked with relief and happiness, Luke placed a peck on his cheek "is tomorrow okay? I've put you on the same shift as Ashton, thought it would be nice if he could train you and get you comfortable working here" Dan replied "yeah! of course! thank you Dan!" Calum said and smiled at me, I returned the smile back fondly "great! I'll email you the shifts later on today, I'll see you tomorrow!" Dan said and hung up the phonecall "oh my god I sounded like such a fucking fool on the phone then!" Calum exclaimed and made this noise unexpectedly, a squeak "why can't I talk normally??" he added in a flustered manner "um..did you just squeak??" Michael asked and raised an eyebrow "nawh there's the squeak!" Luke said with a smile, oh well that makes more sense than the first thought I had when I heard squeaking around the flat "wait that's you squeaking? I heard it the other day and thought it was a mouse in the wall or something" I confessed, whoops, Luke laughed "nah, just cute little Cal" he said "um..yeah..I am the little mouse..I can't help it..I'm..I'm sorry" Calum said shyly with a blush "awh bless you! c'mere!" Michael said and went over to Calum and started to tickle him making Calum giggle, the whole thing resulted in the three of us tickling Calum until he was managed to wriggle his way out of our grasp.
