Chapter 39: Selfish

~Yamaguchi's basement~

It had been a few hours since Daichi had been alone with Suga and it had made him miss him more and more as time passed.

All that he wanted was to enjoy his boyfriend's company and only his, so as soon as they hid in the basement he pulled Suga into a hug, wrapping his arms around his waist protectively.

"Can I have you all to myself now?" Daichi sighed and tightened his embrace.

Suga laughed quietly and kissed his boyfriend's lips softly and slowly. "You can."

There was no way the two of them were getting used to each other any time soon.

They still felt their hearts skip a beat every time they were alone with each other, as well as butterflies.

Suga's breath would still hitch to the sound of the other boy's deep comforting voice and Daichi would still easily get lost in Suga's sweet dreamy eyes.

"You have been so stressed today...trying to make things go well and watch that the house doesn't catch on fire." they were rocking side to side slowly while holding each other.

Suga took a deep breath, inhaling Daichi's familiar and warm scent. "You're giving me too much credit, you've helped a lot too...Also, you were more stressed than I was"

"I was not?" They both laughed quietly.

Suga ran his hand through Daichi's hair slowly and they looked into each other's eyes.

"I love you"

Daichi's words took Suga by surprise. He felt his cheeks heat up so he hid his face in the crook of his neck.

The other boy started to wonder if that was too soon of a thing to say but he knew that it came from the most sincere part of his heart.

"I love you too" Suga's response was quiet and muffled but it was loud enough for Daichi to hear, making him smile.

He closed his eyes, taking in the beautiful moment he was in, feeling lucky to be the one holding Suga.

They stayed quiet for a few minutes until curiosity settled between the two.

"I wonder what the others are doing...I hope it's nothing too bad."

"Me too."

~Yamaguchi's pantry~

"KA  GE  YA  MAAA?"

Kageyama refused to look at Hinata, who had been calling his name for the past few minutes. His mood had shifted ever since Kenma had gotten there.

"Why are you ignoring me!?" He wrapped his arms around Kageyama's arm.

"Boke they're gonna find us if you keep being so fucking loud" the taller boy glared at him.

Hinata narrowed his eyes at him in response  "This place is too small. This game is a two people thing we're all now squeezed into this tiny space"

Kenma sighed, all he wanted to do was nothing and he was stuck with Hinata and Kageyama bickering.

"It's all your fault for coming when you new I was already with Kenma!"

"I didn't think it would be a problem because you're so small"

"What did you say?!"

Hinata shoved Kageyama to the side and Kageyama did the same to him but with more force. And that's how they began to fight in the small space.
