** Tadley's POV: **

"Dad... can i talk to you about something?" Joey came up to me and asked, he had a very serious expression on his face.

"Of course, buddy. What's up?"

"I want Kenslea to be my mom." He stated.

"She is your mom."

"I want her to be my real mom." He stressed. I looked at my son and sighed. How am i supposed to tell him that Kenslea can't be his real mom because he already has a real mom? Even if she's a piss poor excuse for one.

"You have a real mom, buddy. Kensela can be your mom too, but she's not your real mom.." I tried explaining as gently as i possibly could.

"She is though! I know she's not my blood mom...but she loves me more than my blood mom does... she is my real mom... I want her to be my real mom... I want her to sign those papers that makes me her son!" He exclaimed emotionally.

"You want her to adopt you? Are you sure? You know if you don't want this you don't have to do it, she'll still be your mom.." I assured him. I would love for Kenslea to adopt him, she already considers him her son, but i also don't want him to rush this if he's not absolutely 100% sure.

"I really really want this! I want you and Kenslea to be my parents... I don't ever want to go back to my blood mom..." I was stunned. I knew he loved Kenslea, and i knew that Kenslea loved him from the start...but i didn't expect him to come to me and want her to adopt him. I didn't even know he was thinking about it. He's a smart kid, he understands things better than most kids his age.

"Okay, i'll talk to mom about it and we can get it started." I promised.

"No! Don't tell her, i want it to be a surprise. I want it to be her birthday present. We can get the papers and that can be her present!" He grinned.

"You really thought this out didn't you?" I smiled with a small shake of my head.

"Yes! Do you think she will want me?" He questioned nervously.

"Of course she will, she loves you. I'll call my lawyer friend and get everything started, i don't know how long it takes to get adoption papers so we'll do it now so they are hopefully in by her birthday." I explained and then quickly pulled out my phone to call my friend as Joey grinned happily and then ran off to go play.

** Kenslea's POV: **

"How's it feel having a free day without kids while daddy is baby sitting?" Lacey asked as we all were sitting around the table having lunch together.

"We never hang out anymore! It's depressing." Ava pouted.

"Yeah, you too good for us now?" Reese asked jokingly.

"Oh yeah, i'm so much better than you! That's why i'm up to my elbows in shitty diapers everyday." I rolled my eyes playfully and we all started laughing. I took a bite of my food. This is the first time in a while that i've seen my friends.

"It's nice, getting a moment to myself i mean. But i miss my boys. I'm so used to being around them all the time, it's hard when they aren't with me." I voiced my feelings.

"I can't believe you're a mom of two kids now! How's Joey doing?" Ava asked.

"Right! I was just getting used to having a baby, and then this cute little five year old boy was thrown into my life, and it's like he was meant to be there. Ya know?"
